Farzin
PartícipeHi
There is something I don’t understand, even after reading pages 35 and 36 in “Attaining the worlds beyond”
If the creator created everything and we have no role in determining it, then the ego is also created by the Creator. So what’s the deal with us gradually replacing it with something else the Creator made, too? And why did the Creator not simply create us the way we ought to be from the very beginning?

Albert – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Farzin,
In the article Introduction to the book of Zohar, Baal HaSulam describes how we were created in the state of perfection, in complete adhesion with the Creator. But this was an unconscious state, like a baby in its mother’s womb. So we necessarily had to come to the complete opposite state, to lose that state of perfection, in order to once again reach it, but this time consciously.
And the fact that we had to lose this state is not something bad, but it’s a necessary part of our development. It’s just like with kids. We don’t just give them a completed jigsaw puzzle. On the contrary we take it and break it down into many pieces. Then in the process of them putting it together, they grow and develop. Same with us, this process of losing that state is a necessary part of our further growth and development.
This process also adds to us a certain level of freedom, without which, we would be no different than machines, or robots, that were programmed to act a certain way and they just carry out this inner script. Instead, we were programmed one way, and we rise above this inner programming, become independent of it, and then develop our own desire to advance towards this goal.

Brandi Sophia NelsonPartícipeThank you for the above explanation. Here are my questions:
1. In Kabbalah, is this “force” referred to as Creator, perceived as an intimate and personal force, as in does this force have a genuine concern and desire for my evolution and return to it?
2. You mention in the video that no one can reach the Spiritual realms without the teachings of Kabbalah. How do you explain the following experiences:
•• Spontaneously healing
•• Contact with Spiritual Beings like Angels and the like
•• Miracle’s such as life circumstances taking a turn for the better after prayer, with no logical explanation3. What is the Kabbaslistic stance on females in the role of teacher? I have seen no female instructors on any of the teaching videos.
4. Does this “force” referred to as Creator consist of male and female energy/ + & – or is it thought to be masculine solely?
- January 19, 2026 at 3:35 pm EST #476714
Albert – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Brandi, great questions!
1. We cannot speak from the Creator’s point of view because that’s not something we attain.
In general, Kabbalah divides our research of the Creator into two parts:
The first is His essence (atzmuto in Hebrew). This is He Himself, His point of view, the Creator as an entity separate from the Created beings. We’re incapable of researching this part of the Creator because our research tools are not built in such a way that we can grasp such things. Perhaps after we finish the process of correction, we’ll discover additional research tools through which we’ll be able to research these things, but until then we limit ourselves and don’t talk about this part of the Creator because we cannot properly research it.
The other part of the Creator is called Bo-Re (Hebrew for Come (Bo) and See (Re)). This is the part of the Creator that we can research and reveal. How do we research this? Through the desire. When we take a part of our desire to receive and correct it in the direction of bestowal, in that corrected desire, we reveal a certain phenomenon, we call this phenomenon the Creator. This is why there are many names for the Creator (in Hebrew), since every time we correct a different part of the desire, we reveal a different aspect of this thing called the Creator.
So all of our understanding of this thing called the Creator is based on what we reveal within the corrected desire. But whatever exists outside of the corrected desire, whatever we don’t grasp, perceive or attain within the desire, whatever is beyond our tools of research, we don’t talk about. We need to keep these limits in mind in order to stay within the realm of science and not venture off into religion or philosophy.
Check out this blog post from Rav Laitman for more details: https://laitman.com/2017/11/the-concept-of-god-in-kabbalah/
2. Reaching spirituality works according to the law of equivalence of form. Meaning that to feel spirituality, we need to become similar to it, to the qualities of love and bestowal that reside there. This is just like how a radio can pick up an external wave, when we tune the internal frequency of the radio to that wave.
Check out this blog post from Rav Laitman for more details: https://laitman.com/2013/04/everything-is-attained-by-the-equivalence-of-form/
So the spirituality that Kabbalah is talking about is attained by correcting our egoistic nature and acquiring the Creator’s qualities of love and bestowal. This is what Kabbalah helps us to do.
Whereas all the phenomena that take place in our current egoistic nature, Kabbalah refers to that as corporeality and generally steers clear of it.
As for needing Kabbalah to reach spirituality, Kabbalah does not hold the monopoly over spirituality. It’s not claiming to be the one and only method. The Wisdom of Kabbalah is the accumulation of thousands of years of experience from people practically trying to reach spirituality, what worked, what didn’t, etc. It’s not a must to use it, but as you can imagine, it’s a lot faster and easier with it.
3. There are female instructors, like Tal.
Check out her Love According to Nature course.
4. Male and female in spirituality symbolize the force of bestowal (male) and the force of reception (female). This is why we call the Creator “Him” and the created being “her”. But these are just technical terms, similar to how in electronics we call the plug the male part while the socket is the female part.
Interestingly enough, because our nature is the desire to receive, all of humanity is considered a female in relation to the Creator who is the bestower.

MsNandi MariePartícipeAre the 5 Worlds the different levels of Spirituality? That is what I gathered.
- January 19, 2026 at 12:04 am EST #476642
Albert – KabU InstructorModeratorHi MsNandi Marie,
The 5 spiritual worlds are not place like we think, but rather levels of concealment. World (Olam in Hebrew) comes from the word Concealment (ha-alama). So the 5 worlds are 5 levels of concealment between us, the desire to receive, and the Creator the general force of love and bestowal. To the extent that we correct our own opposite, egoistic nature, for it to also operate in the direction of bestowal, to that extent we reveal these worlds, these higher qualities.

MsNandi MariePartícipe” As long as I, according to my egoistic nature, am external to it and am not compatible with it, I cannot feel it. When the point in the heart awakens in me, I begin to feel my oppositeness to the Creator, and then I can grow and increase “…
The above is a quote from Dr. Laitman. I understand now
Thank you for the link, Connie aka NandiMarie

MsNandi MariePartícipeThank you Albert for that very concise explanation.
I watched Dr. Laitman and grasped the 5 basic principles of Kabbalah. The most interesting and easy to grasp was concerning the ego. Wow most of us are living very ego based lives and must reach a state that we unify with this force.
Also what I gathered is that most of us live for pleasure and hence are ego driven.
