      If we were born with such an understanding we would not be able to make an independent choice and therefore would be simply using our egoism, and therefore would never able to achieve equivalence of form with the Creator.

      In order to experience the corporeal temporary desires and pleasures that would lead to a lack of fulfillment thus causing us to seek more permanent and desirable pleasures that would be a continuous flow of the light from the Ein Sof.

      In order to develop it from the free will. All other sense have been there since the begging and this one we must attain.

      I think, it´s because this is where we have free choice… to decide to choose this path. If we had been born with the perception, we would neither start searching for it, nor develop a desire. Plus, most likely we would be content with what we´ve got, and not develop any further.
