Abbaa Naa’olPartícipeHow do I recognize the Point in the Heart within myself?
What does it mean to “accelerate development” spiritually?
How do I find the right environment for my soul’s growth?
Can you explain how the Four Factors apply to daily life decisions?
What’s the difference between spiritual freedom and psychological freedom

DavidPartícipeThank you, Albert, for your thoughtful response. This makes total sense to me now!

Albert – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Kebede,
1. The point in the heart keeps pushing and pulling us until we come to the place where we feel that we can satisfy that desire. So those with a ripe point in the heart would feel what we’re learning here resonates with them. If not, they may need to search elsewhere until they find what resonates with them. This follows the rule that “one studies only where one’s heart desires”.
2. The end goal is already set: complete adhesion with the Creator, with His qualities of love and bestowal. If we want to accelerate our development towards that goal, we need to place ourselves into a good spiritual environment that will constantly influence us in that direction.
This is similar to how if we take the goal for ourselves to get into shape, then we go to the gym and get inspired by the people in the gym to keep working out. Likewise with our spiritual work, we need to find or build for ourselves such an environment that will push us towards developing spiritually.
Check out this blog post from Rav Laitman for more details: https://laitman.com/2012/10/bestowal-should-become-fashionable/
3. If you want to continue with KabU, in the graduate semester, everyone will receive their own Kabbalah group with whom they can start to build for themselves a good spiritual environment.
4. The main takeaway from the four factors is that if we want to reach freedom from our egoistic nature, then we need to place ourselves in a good spiritual environment. If you understand that, that’s enough to implement the four factors in practice.
5. Spiritual freedom means freedom from our egoistic nature. That is what we hope to achieve through Kabbalah.

PartícipeIn this life, everything is all planned out by the Creator already, which makes sense when we are in a state of receiving for receiving and even receiving to bestow. Our thoughts, decisions, every moment of our existence is receiving of some sort. Once we become like the Creator, the state of true bestowal, does free will change, or will the Creator always be writing our story?

Albert – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Sean,
Becoming like the Creator takes 125 steps. This is the whole focus of our current work. Our current research tools are incapable of researching anything beyond that point, so the science of Kabbalah does not talk about it. Once we get there, we’ll see what is next.

Carina
PartícipeHi, if I buy the online sessions for the upcoming retreat, how interactive is it, is there some zoom participation, or is it just watching videos for 3 days?
- July 6, 2025 at 3:26 pm EDT #444526
Albert – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Carina,
Yes, there is zoom participation and workshops in breakout rooms. If possible, I would still recommend physical participation. It will provide a much more powerful experience.

aviPartícipeJust did the session with Tony. Someone mentioned that they are signing in for a daily lesson with Rav Laitman (at 2am). Is this open to anyone in this course?
- July 6, 2025 at 3:23 pm EDT #444525
Albert – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Avi,
The daily lesson with Rav Laitman is geared more towards students that have already graduated from KabU and are part of a ten. You’re welcome to check it out in the Kabbalah Media archive.

Anja
PartícipeHello
What does it mean : giving Joy to the creator by giving Joy to other fellow-souls?
Does it mean to help others to understand and progressing in achieving kabballah ?
Does it mean to behave as an individuel with respect and love towards plants, animals, humains, environnement ?
- May 29, 2025 at 10:47 am EDT #440452
Albert – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Anja,
In our day to day lives, we should avoid causing harm to others and not break the laws of the society we live in. But beyond that, our spiritual work is focused entirely within the Kabbalistic group. It’s only in mutual work with other points in the heart that we can reveal the Creator, so our main focus is there.
We’ll learn how to apply these things practically in the advanced semesters when everyone will receive their own Kabbalah group in which to put these things into practice.

TamarPartícipeAre we really choosing an environment since we don’t even decide where we born?
I’ve ridden the text about free (Herut) will and the four factors and isn’t it very limited and external to our freedom? What can we say then about the choice between the path of pain or path of light and the complexity of human life in nature and our nature?

Albert – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Tamar,
The environment is not simply the city where I live or those people around me. Choosing the environment is me choosing what will influence me today. And sources of influence are not necessarily physical, in our days, every time we connect to the internet, we’re constantly being influenced.
So then the question is how can I change the things that will influence me? If I spend my free time on Facebook and Instagram, I’ll surely be influenced by the values that are found there. If I spend my free time studying Kabbalistic sources and connecting to the Kabbalistic group, then I’ll be influenced by the values that are found there.
Furthermore, even when I already chose to connect to the Kabbalistic environment, there is still room for me to amplify their influence on me. For example: I can be within the Kabbalistic group, studying with other points in the heart and doing a workshop. At the workshop I can listen to the other people there and think to myself that they are fools, what do they know. By that, I completely close myself from their influence on me. Or I can think to myself how great these people are and allow myself to be influenced even more by them. By that I amplify their influence on me and the influence of light that works on me through the Kabbalistic environment.
So the choice in the environment is in me arranging my life to devote more of my free time to the Kabbalistic environment and furthermore in me arranging my attitude to the Kabbalistic environment to allow it to have a stronger influence me.
