      Hi Seth,

First of all thank you for this course. I have a question that may seem odd at first (and it will need an intro). Here it goes:

I actually stumbled upon Kabbalah and KabU by watching a compilation of Kabbalah Revealed on Youtube (so this is my second time going through it – although already through a different lens). Before Kabbalah Revealed I also completed the “Blueprint of Creation” which is slightly overkill.

While the concepts are overwhelmingly hard to understand I let myself be “guided” by them, and slowly I get to feel them (while not understanding them). So my question is exactly this “perception”. What is going on? I feel this is right, yet I don’t understand it. I can conceptualize what is explained, but I cannot use reason to demonstrate that this is truth. I also don’t feel the need to either. This is a very strange feeling!

Related to it, a similar feeling is once I hear about the “Screen” (for instance). I understand what it does and feel the need for it. But somehow “forget it” after, until it is talked about again. Basically I “have not attained it” or “I cannot yet employ it”. Is any of these the correct explanation?

Thanks once more, and sorry for the long one.

        Francisco –

Thanks for asking that question. You put into words what I couldn’t describe.

        Francisco,
You described what is happening very accurately.
If you have a child, then this explanation will be clear as day.  A child does not sit in a classroom to learn how to speak and how to walk, etc.  A child is placed among the upper ones and then through that influence, all of the forces that are in the lower one are awakened and the lower one develops.
What happens in our world is a branch of the spiritual root.
You couldn’t ask you two year old to describe how she is learning to speak, but she does.

We do though as adults have a mind.  While it is not the mind or any wise one who reaches spirituality, in order to prevent us from becoming blind religious adherents, it is good to take notes and use our mind.  Warning, not to get stuck in the mind because after all this is a wisdom of the heart, but the mind sorts things and organizes things and that is important.
For example, you are learning that creation is a will to receive pleasure.  So examine yourself, examine life around you, can you prove that?  You should be able to see that you don’t lift a finger unless you feel that you will gain more pleasure from lifting it than if you left it there resting, etc.

In short, you sound like you are on the right path.
Get a little more comfortable with being confused.  Imagine if your baby could verbalize her feelings when you are teaching her to walk and you move away from her.  That’s pretty frightening, but we know that she will start to walk and from there the sky is the limit.

I would wonder how to receive 100% light as the creature and yet avoid a portion as giving back to the creator without the created abilities?

      • #220787

        Tobias,
Kabbalah means “receive”.  The wisdom of kabbalah is the wisdom of how to receive.
This is exactly what we are learning.
The purpose of creation is to fill the creature with fulfillment.
        So, we have to receive!
But in our small vessels we cannot receive endless fulfillment.
So, we have the “correction of creation”.  That is our work now, to draw light to us that will correct our vessels so that we can receive 1% to bestow and then 2%, all the way to 100%.

We know that Keter is divided into two parts, which include Arich Anpin and Arika Kaddisha! What is higher than the Atika Kaddisha stage?

      • #220786

        Asher,
You can go to http://www.kabbalahmedia.info and find all of Talmud Eser Sefirot.
There you can find the entire structure of the upper worlds.
We will only confuse ourselves and everyone else here to discuss things that have zero connection to the work at hand.

Hello, I find it difficult but very interesting and somewhat understand the process.

I still fo not understand the “restrictions” Tony talks about “the first restriction” how many “restrictions are there?

      Thank you,

        Esmeralda,
In the process from Ein Sof (without end) through the creation of the created being, there are two restrictions.
The first one takes place after the 4 phases of direct light.
We learned that the thought of creation is to create a creature and fill it with good.
From that thought extends the 4 phases of direct light until we arrive at Malchut of Ein Sof, that means we arrive at an endless vessel that can receive all of the light of the Creator.
However there is a problem.  The Creator of course is 100% a bestowing force, but Malchut is now 100% a receiving force and because of this, their natures are 100% opposite from one another, in spirituality, distance is measured by the difference between the qualities.  So these qualities are as far as east is from west.
Malchut wants to be close to the Creator, but is endlessly far, so she (we call her she, but there is no created being yet), says, I can’t bestow, because I don’t have anything of my own to bestow, BUT, I can stop myself from receiving and at least in that I won’t be 100% opposite in form from the Creator.
That stopping of receiving is called Tzimtzum Aleph (1).

      1. Who is matchut in the creation is he in heaven with God
      2. I believed in Adam rishion as Creator.
      3. Can you narrate this two for me.
      • #190560

        Hi Joshua,
Let’s leave our beliefs on the side for now.
We are studying a science.  Let’s try to understand what the kabbalists are explaining to us, if we are ready for that.
The Creator created the heaven = Bina and earth = Malchut

Adam HaRishon that we are going to study now  is a spiritual system of the collective soul where the Creator will dwell.

      Hello Set,

Why did the creator create a creature in the first place? Was he bored? What was his desire? Did he want to know himself?

      • #190558

        Maika,
Wow, this is a fun question!
We exist in a process called 6000 years (of course this is not talking about calendar years, it is a qualitative measurement).  In that system, we can attain the light that emanated from the Creator.  However we do not attain the essence of the Creator at all.
We attain and perceive what is emanated, formed and created from the light that cascades from His essence.
And those kabbalists who reached those upper degrees wrote to us that the thought of creation is to create a creature and fill it with delight/fulfillment.
In order to do that the Creator had to create a vessel, a lack that could hold all of His abundance, this thought alone set into motion everything that has cascaded since.  Our life and our work is to correct this vessel to be able to hold His abundance.
