Where does Daat come in? Which request? Katnut? Gadlut? Atzilut?

I know Daat is the request of ZON to Bina and is there from World of Nekudim onward, but which request?

Was Daat the request that led to the shattering?

I think this topic is covered by one of Seth’s Pticha sessions and I have the article, The Ascent of MAN de ZAT de Nekudim to AVI and the Explanation of the Sefira Daat, which I will look for and read later ..

Daat is first mentioned with respect to the request for Gadlut in the world of nikudim. It is the root for the Raising of MAN (mayiin nukvin) in the rest of the system.

Yeah, I read most of the article I mentioned last night. If I understand correctly, Daat is activated in Nekudim ..

(you say in Gadlut .. I was thinking it appears from the very beginning in Katnut – so, thanks for that clarification)

.. and remains in play from there forward. It keeps Hochma and Bina in a face to face coupling i.e. Daat keeps the Light of Hochma dressed in the Light of Hassadim.

I’m 88.32% clear on what that actually means .. I think it means that ZON’s request creates a necessary coupling between Hochma and Bina and maintains their coupling with constant spiritual requests throughout all the Worlds, beginning with Gadlut of Nekudim.

Am I heading in the right direction?

Yes. Of course there are states where ZON is not in a request.

Well… I only want to say that after reading your comments about feeling lost by now, makes me feel better. I think I get the idea and love it, but have a really hard time with all the names. And before I said The Science of Kabbalah was soo difficult, but actually is the other one, as someone else mentioned… the one we get the transcription in here (Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah). The Science is so much better!

I read this “blockage” or hardship means 2 things: that we are somehow advancing… and the low level we’re at… LOL… But Cheryl is right… I have found myself many more times praying to be corrected…

Nah, I was one of the “advanced” ones who “got” everything and could recite like a scholar. I don’t think it helped. It’s truly unrelated to the real advancement in spirituality.

These concepts might be too advanced for me and I’m getting lost….I just barely discovered KabU and currently completing Kabbalah revealed part 2. It’s complex but I want to stick with it and hope to understand it better in the future. I wonder if it’s given to all of us to understand the science of it all??. I personally have had a very short but significant mystical experience (which occurred naturally, meaning not induced by drugs, illness, accidents & neither a profound meditation, similar to an NDE). I think God gave me a wake up call, 34 years ago when it happened, that triggered my insatiable & unstoppable studying for the purpose of reconnecting with the Creator, However, though i did find myself spontaneously immersed in light, there was never this much scientific thought happening then, only a total immersion. This experience has been my guide throughout my learning process and I’m having trouble connecting my experience with the science of Kabbalah, but I’m sticking with it. I feel compelled to  learn and know everything I possibly can.

So, don’t try to connect your experience. After all, there are degrees, and one degree is not at all like another. I shouldn’t try to carry something from before, with me into the future. Whatever was before is dwarfed by what is to come. To look back is to stall, like Lot’s wife who looks back and becomes a pillar of salt. The future is always, always better than the past – if we’re talking about spiritual states.

What’s written here are the states one certainly discovers in the future spiritual states – that is, the state destined for each and every one.

I did pretty well until lesson 11.  With that I started getting lost in the terms.  I watched a couple times and went through the extra info on the diagram.

I’m not able to sort out what this means —  Now every piece of the system has the opposite qualities of Bina and Malchut, in a single carrier.

Does this mean bestowal and reception in every Partzuf or something else?

Hi Jennifer,

Even forgetting about the Partzuf, because now we’re talking about broken states, every piece of the shattered system has inside it these two qualities. Mostly it’s reception, but somewhere in it there is this other quality that longs for the Creator, which is bestowal. It’s basically buried, but it’s there.
