Preparation Prompt: What does transitioning from a self-centered perception of reality to one grounded in altruism entail?

Our inner intentions of love and giving to others change and in this way we gain a similarity of form with the Creator

It means changing my egoistic intentions for altruistic intenstions. To put my friends needs before my own needs. It means eighter just to bestow or to receive (desires) in order to bestow.

To shift from an egoistic perception of reality to a perception based on bestowal is to put the friends interests above my own through correcting my desires and intentions

Instead of doing or receiving for oneself, have intentions to bestow for the Creator or a friend.

It would be the first steps of our intended connection not just to our immediate contacts but to those we don’t know yet.  An awakening of our corporate responsibility through our intentions for the welfare of everyone. Looking at the devastating news from Israel as I write, this altruistic seismic change in attitude can’t come soon enough.
