People say that the best way to learn something is to teach it. When I teach Kabbalah to others in a gentle, compassionate way, that only covers the parts that I know I have learned for sure, I strengthen my own learning and build trust in myself that I am learning this wisdom in earnest. It seems to affect people positively, but David is right, we should be careful how and to whom we share, as some may not be ready yet to learn Kabbalah in earnest, and a negative first learning experience could put them off investigating it further for themselves. Instead of preaching, it’s better to lead by example. There is no coercion in spirituality.

If I manage to spread the wisdom of Kabbalah I find others with a point in the heart and through that connection I get one step closer to my correction by modeling the bestowal quality.

So it’s a little confusing because I’ve had instructors tell me that if I share with another and they aren’t ready to hear it, I could harm them.  So, I must be careful about how and to whom I share.  When I’m in a group of religious people, I will often share the truth that I have learned from kabbalah without calling to kabbalah..I just give them the perspective that I have gained…As far as I know, they’ve never heard it before.   I feel like that is my way of, perhaps, awakening their point in the heart.   Then, if they ever asked me specifically, I’ll know it has probably awakened, and I’ll feel better about sharing it with them.

Our work with the Light that Reforms brings us through the Reshimot in our Spiritual Root. It gives us the opportunity to view our own egos and see it for what it is — the opposite of Bestowal — the character of the Creator. By continuing to study, learn, and practice we draw the Light that reveals and reforms to ourselves.  We choose to make corrections, accepting the Light and rejecting the destructiveness and filthiness of self-love. By this we can love the friends, connect with them in the workshop, fill the space between us with the Creator that makes us one. This process strengthens the influence of the Reforming Light. We have to correct the connection between us in order to reveal the Creator.

As we are all interconnected, we need to spread the wisdom of Kabbalah so that the connection with everyone grows stronger, and thus the Creator can be revealed to all.

And as to my private corrections… the more I practice to open up to the light, and share it, the more I practice to feel in this state of connection. And by  turning my intention towards the others, I will open up to the energy of bestowal. And as much as this is getting me into a state of letting go of my ego, it’s also helps me to feel corrected. To me these corrections are an ongoing process inherent in that spiritual work. It may feel like an effort, a sacrifice or a pleasure… depending on where I am. But each time I open up to the light and integrate a new experience that already may be a correction. So, therefore, any interaction involving spreading the light gently, may be worth it.
