I guess making money and reaching spirituality isn’t analoguous fully: making money have to invest efforts and money first and it may not succeed but studying spirituality is immediately beneficial to the person right?

Part of the growth is a person rising above the logic and reason of reward/punishment and wanting to adhere to the Creator unconditionally.

about the near way and the far way: if i perform the far way (lets say getting spirituality) is my past efforts wasted if i didn’t reach the goal like a business venture if not finished it doesnt reap the benefit even loss of investment.., or past efforts have the rewards?

Always strive for above reason. You will, by default, always have in contrast to that, your reason.

Is our defining characteristic the ability to speak or our reason or?

Our physical characteristics? Speaking certainly does define this, but it comes from the spiritual root. It’s “speaking” because this is the expression of our inner state where we want to be similar to the Creator.

Is it more correct to label it tsimtsum than tzimtzum?

I believe our translation uses ‘z’.

If suffering or punishment in kabbalah is the gap between our desires and fulfilment, what about physical pain?

Yeah, the same. The desire is to not feel physical pain and when you do feel it, the desire to not feel physical pain is unfulfilled.
