Is the answer that I can only be happy if you are happy not so that I can be happy but simply I can’t be happy until you are happy? The paradox of gods love is this the serifot?

Hey Enoon,
For the created being to truly be fulfilled and not with corporeal pleasures which are received in order to receive (which this process will bring us to despair from this process of reception for ourselves) it needs to receive the abundance the Creator created for the creature to receive specifically from Him. The paradox is that our nature is to receive but it’s seemingly “giving” that we need to partake it – the quality of the Creator. We just need to use our will to receive with an intention to bestow which makes us similar to the Creator in quality. This is the Kli, the vessel in which we receive the abundance and not reception itself.
Thanks!

I am also studying the aleph-bet, I understand that an Aleph is a dot on the top and a dot on the bottom with a line in between, but you must also understand the meaning of the dot above, the dot below, and the line between before you can understand why the yud resides in the house of bet until the gimmel can receive in order that the dallet can receive not for itself but for the purpose of the heh which is the giver of that which the gimmel receives only to give. This is but the beginning of understanding. Do I understand?

To go even deeper the explanation is within the gematria, ask a simple question, what do you get when you put 2 and 2 together? I tell you there are those that will say 4 and those that say 1, now both are right in their belief, but one is wrong in it’s understanding and only one knows the right answer, but one can not teach the other until the other understands its error and replaces the + with \ can we understand the true meaning. E=MC squared, Einstien was corrected before he realized this truth, he alone did not develop the theory, but he alone is who we give the credit. So simple yet complex enough to be perplexing.

Thank you, please understand that I do not ask these questions in ignorance, but I seek to learn so that I might be blessed with the gift of giving it to others, that I may teach but I do not seek money, for my payment is your understanding and giving it as it has been given freely unto you. I understand but how to achieve this in today’s world if you offer something without demanding something in return you are called a thief. I get it, the waiting is the hardest part. Thank you, thank God for you.

Hi, a friend asked who did cain marry? i said well, adam had more sons and daughters and back then humans lived  longer and were more pure and in tune with nature. So it wasnt that bad and it was G-d’s kindness to start the human race, but whats the kabbalistic meaning? Of cain’s wife? Him marrying his sister?   Is it talking about desires as well? How to explain?
please and thanks.

Hey Brad,
This is referring to spiritual connections, Partzufim, connections between them, the desires each one has – for reception or for bestowal etc., it’s not talking about people who married other people or one brother who killed another.
Thanks!

Hi,
Two questions:
Why do some people invest time into Kabbalah only end up eventually leaving it behind?
It seems if people are born into Hasidic, Orthodox or Haredi then people stick with it because it is part of who they are.
Do you think that people feel as if they are chasing an impossible task due to concealment/they do not feel any changes in themselves?
Thanks for taking time to answer questions, it’s greatly appreciated.

Hey Michael,
Everyone has their own path, we can’t really know what a person needs as far as what his soul needs to develop. Of course, we could say there were “choices” along the way that if they were correct, it would have only strengthened but when the opportunity passes, there are only so many of them before eventually a person can find the environment on the outside is stronger than the environment they built for themselves. We should always be worried that the Creator would take this opportunity from us, and this should be used to our advantage to find the strength to adhere to the good environment whenever we can.
There are many stages in the period of preparation. A person doesn’t even know where they are, truly, at first. It seems clear, but later it’s shown to us the true magnitude of the thing we have in our hands. We’re essentially just “doing what we’re” told in the beginning until we can start building a sense for it. This comes gradually, and along the way we’re always receiving all kinds of “tastes” of what it is, which then pass and we continue on until the next bit that becomes revealed.
Kabbalists call this, “anything but leave.” A rule a person puts for themselves to try and negate the mind with all its logical questions when coming closer to work in bestowal. If you can just lower the head and continue and let the wave pass, these are just necessary stages on the path.
All the best,
Chris

First, thank you, I have learned a lot in the little bit of time here the information is fulfilling. If one seeks a more personalized instruction face to face how can one or should one seek a teacher or will this naturally play out since the question has been asked? I feel constrained by the distractions of the world and feel like I need a more private contained environment. I truly want to devote my life to learning as much as I should.

Hi Enoon,
Once you’ve completed the graduate environment and if you choose, are moved into a ten, this is where you will begin learning “only the flesh” as we say. Before then, currently, this is the only structure we offer but I promise it’s sufficient to give you the basics before you begin the practical work. Desire certainly is the most important. Try your best to stay cleaved to the environment here; all the available sources, clips, and other media you would ever need.
All the best,
Chris

I can see the light in you, forgive me but I see a beautiful soul a perfect creation in an imperfect state. Is this the truth?

I feel a higher calling like this was not exactly my choice but I was chosen to be given the choice to seek this path if I didn’t know anything about Catholicism I would join a monastery and become a monk. But my beliefs of the Romans I will keep to myself for now. I want to return to being a cave dweller. I have a connection with nature, the instinct of a cat stalking it’s pray. I want to talk about these things almost as if it were a need. I think it is the story of rabbi Akiva that created the humanoid without a brain, this is the knowledge I seek, but I have no desire to create a humanoid, for the mistake was realized and corrected. Hope I am clear in my intentions thank you.

The Creator sends me after desires lower than that of spirituality causing me to miss the lessons sometimes. Why is this? Can I do anything to convince Him to make me more like a veteran?
- September 3, 2023 at 5:07 pm EDT #330124Chris – KabU InstructorModerator
Hey David,
Of course He does. How else are you supposed to build a desire yourself?! His treatment of us on the path is confusing, especially in the beginning since it’s so opposite to what we’re used to in this world. If I love someone, then I give them gifts and show them my love. That’s easy, since all of us have the desire already to receive those gifts. However, in spiritual matters, in building a desire for something that is not known to our nature, not known in this world, then the acquisition of this desire comes as a result of not attaining specifically the desire – not the reward.
Don’t think veterans don’t receive the same treatment, and “worse”. It’s only the matter of the society that holds them and this is up to how much they invest in it themselves. It takes a while to begin to feel how that works, yet still there are new things that are surprising at each descent. That’s how it works. “Never trust yourself until the day you die.”
Best of luck, David.

I have been studying for 3 1/2 years and I still see separation, division, hatred in the world. Â What could I be doing incorrectly to cause this and how can I get to the end quicker?

Hey David,
I’m not an instructor — in fact I’m very new here — but I was just reading an article ( http://www.kabbalah.info/eng/content/view/frame/42596?/eng/content/view/full/42596&main ) that you might find helpful and I hope open discussion here is okay.
I like the Baal HaSulam quote in particular:
From all of Nature’s systems, presented before us, we understand that in any being of the four types—still, vegetative, animate, and speaking, both as a whole and in particular, we find a purposeful guidance, meaning a slow and gradual growth by way of cause and effect. This is similar to a fruit on a tree, guided to a favorable purpose of finally becoming a sweet and fine-looking fruit. And go and ask a botanist, how many phases the fruit undergoes from the time it becomes visible until it is completely ripe. Not only do its preceding phases show no evidence of its sweet and fine-looking end, but as if to vex, they show the opposite of the final shape: the sweeter the fruit is at its end, the more bitter it is in the earlier phases of its development.
Hang in there man, and don’t take the journey for granted.

Hey Mancini,
Yeah, that perception is just an indication of your inner state – as you know. I wouldn’t say you caused it, or that you’re doing something incorrectly, but it’s something that’s being shown to you to bring you closer to the truth. Although, you will see all different kinds of opposite forms in the world which emerge as an indication of lack of correction and this will continue until the final degree. Our whole work is building a lack for the quality of bestowal within us without looking for reward in any way. The closer we get to even understanding what the wisdom of Kabbalah actually is, the more confused we become. Until we can emotionally grasp what our work truly is, where it is, what to expect, how to react – until then we are just discovering what it isn’t.Â
No worries! Keep on going. There’s no such thing as “skipping ahead”. I’ll probably bring up “computational irreducibility” on the show because it’s a great example in this world for that rule of not “skipping ahead”.
Best of luck!
Chris
