      Hello.
I’m still a bit confused about the screen you should put over the vessel in order to feel the difference between the will to receive and the will to bestow. If I understand correctly, it’s an intention to understand the thought of creation behind my desires, and I should reject the ones that come from the ego, and embrace those that are altruistic. Am I right? Could you give me an example? Thank you!

I understand that there are two paths to returning to our original state—pain and light. While the path of light involves awareness and transformation, I sometimes find it difficult to apply that understanding in my everyday life. What can I do to consistently stay on the path of light, especially when I feel myself slipping into unconscious patterns?

I understand that suffering is meant to make us question its cause, and that our egoism is the source of this disconnection. While I grasp this conceptually, how can I remain consistently aware of my ego’s role in my development and actively work to accelerate my progress, moving ahead of the wave of pain? Additionally, how can I identify what I need to change so that my life improves?

        Hi Natu,

        1. In practice, we need to focus on building a stronger spiritual environment for ourselves. And accelerating our development or choosing the path of light or being aware of the ego will all be a result of that.

See my reply below to Robert for more details.

        2. You don’t need to make big changes to study Kabbalah. Just keep going, keep placing yourself under the influence of the light, (especially through the Kabbalistic studies) and you’ll gradually begin to feel yourself changing.

Is the choice between the Path of Light and the Path of Suffering our only real choice in life?  And is this a choice everyone can make?

      • #393401

        Hi Robert,

        1. It is our main choice in life, but we don’t make it directly. Rather we choose to place ourselves in a strong spiritual environment, and as a result of that choice, we have the strength to advance by the path of light.

It’s like with a seed. If we plant it in fertile ground, then it’ll get all the right nutrients and grow. If we put it in the desert or just keep it on a shelf somewhere, nothing will come out of it at all. So all of our work boils down to finding the best spiritual environment in which to plant that seed. And what will ultimately happen to that seed is a result of the environment we put it into. We’ll learn more about this in the next semester, when we study the topic of freedom.

        2. Without an active point in the heart, a person has no interest in advancing spiritually on the path of light.

      I learn about two paths. one of path is path of pain.my question is;
path of pain is lead and took us to the creator?
I little confuse with these two paths.esp.to choose the right one.
I hope you got my question.

So often i try to really think about intention in the things i do but i have come to find it is not as easy as it looks… to get to the real deepest intention in it. Is there specific ways to train this?

      • #393031

        Hi Koriander,

Our nature is egoistic. So whatever intention towards bestowal we try to set, it’ll just be corrupted by that egoistic nature. So first of all we need to correct this egoistic nature.

We do this through the light. The light is a special force that can correct our nature. Our work boils down to extracting more and more of the light, especially during the Kabbalistic studies, and it performs all the necessary corrections on us.
