Under Phase 4 (Interact definition) Malchut, it states at the end…..

“As a result, Machut does a complete Tzimzum (Restriction) on the Upper Light, and restriction upon restriction occurs over the spiritual worlds until all we feel is our world.”

What does it truly mean to restrict the Upper Light along with a continuation of restrictions?  It sounds like I’m not allowing the Upper Light in, so, I believe my understanding of Tzimzum requires clarification. I’m not understanding what that looks like.

Thank you! I understand this better now.

        Bonnie,
That is correct. Tzimztum means that the vessel restricts and does not allow the Light to come in…only on the condition that it erects a screen and the Upper Light that comes in passes through a screen, which means that the Light doesn’t enter directly, like a cow eating grass, but with the screen, the creature understands and feels the Giver of the pleasure and the reception comes from the pleasure of being in contact with the Giver.  And of course additionally, the pleasure then enters the vessel and the normal pleasure is also felt, albeit differenlty.

Already as a child i was attracted to spirituality, so i studied different paths, and now kabbalah. As i am trying to become more and more aware of my will to receive in order to receive pleasure and fullfilment for myself, the following question came up: what about the pleasure that i get from studying spirituality ? I saw in different videos that the point in the heart is the way out of the will to receive, but infact i discovered that it works by the same mechanism: i do it because it gives me pleasure. And so what is the difference ?

        Ilse,
Say thank You to the Creator that you have such a desire.
The best advice is to delve into the Torah when you have pleasure from it.
There are times in our spiritual development when from above the flavor is removed from our development and this is on purpose, like when a parent takes a step back so a newborn can take a step forward.
So, ok, you can study when you enjoy.  But what if I take the pleasure away, do you still love Me, or you only study because you receive pleasure.
At that time, you will have a framework of study in your life and you will be able to keep going through that phase and you will emerge again to the joy and pleasure (and this will repeat as you ascend, each time adding new vessels).

Thank you Seth, thats a beautiful answer….. . I hope its okay that i still have two other questions, a bit more technical, about the restriction and the screen. In the section “Interact” there was a comparison between the restriction and the atmosphere around the earth, saying: “paradoxally, the Light needs to be rejected, so that it can enter”. That is something i don’t understand, can you explain me that a bit more ?

And then my second question: why, once the screen is build, does the Light come in by the portions 20%, 40% etc… ? Why can’t it come in more quickly, or all at once ?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

          Ilse,
Watch some videos on youtube about how Earth’s atmosphere works in relation to the sun.
Without the atmosphere, nothing on Earth would live.

Regarding once the spiritual screen is built, this has to do with a gradual process in order that the Creature will be able to digest what is happening and transform herself.
To give another example, you can give an 18 year old $20 to go out for the night, but you can’t give an 18 year old a few hundred dollars or they would get in a lot of trouble, she doesn’t have wisdom or experience to handle that much incoming influence.
But after she has a job, has some responsibilities you can give her $100.
And after she has children of her own and a life and responsibilities of her own, then she can receive her inheritance of a million dollars and she won’t make mistakes that can harm herself.

How should I apply the four phases of Light with everyday life? What procedure or method do I have to take? Is it possible to solve a particular problem thru this process? Thank you.

      • #438736

        Gorz,
All of our thoughts and desire, in fact all of reality develops according to these four phases.
Study well and let it wash over you.
It is like having a favorite movie or song, it seeps into your mind and informs your thoughts and understanding of the world.
So study well, engage in it, make efforts in it and you will see how your thoughts and emotions will clothe in it.

Can you give examples of every day matters; the desire for healing of a child, how will that be manifested in the receiving stage and how to move upward in the light?

      Shalom friends,

      – Because the Kabbalists writings are about BYA the worlds above expressed by perceptions and personal experiences, how can we know for sure if this if is true (especially when there are differents in the structure of worlds and name of Sefirot in the Kabbalist writings)?
      – An one though, for example, it is possible that the Creator doesn’t need our prayers but appreciate the ones from the fair people (not just human bestowal but a certain degree of connection)?
      – And if in the Zohar there are perspectives of Matter (will to recive) and form (intention) how can we approach to the text in a receptive-bestowal mode?

      • #437120

        Tamar,
If you went to Central Park in New York City, you can describe to me the walking bridges and the Strawberry Fields, you can tell me that if I look south what buidlings I can see and if I look north what I will see.
You were there and you perceived what was there and you can communicate that to another person who can understand what you are saying and can also have that experience too.  You can tell them, enter the park on East 72nd Street and walk  until you see the signs for the Summer Stage.  Meet me there for a concert at noon.
        That works on Earth.
In spirituality, if two people attain the same spiritual degree, they both see and feel what happens on that spiritual degree, regardless if one wears glasses or has dark hair or light hair or is old or young.

Regarding the Zohar or any of  the texts of the kabbalists, they are coming to us from a higher degree than us.  We find ourselves immersed in the will to receive, the way that the Creator created us.  That is how we approach the texts, with a prayer and focus that the light in the texts will work on us and raise us.

      hello:

i have my vessels of reception and i add the intention, now i am in the next level, what is the prayer that i should pray for  my friends to come too?

      • #436812

        Diego,
You are using words of the kabbalists, but I don’t understand what vessels and intentions you discovered.
Regarding the prayer, this comes from the heart as much as we want to reunite the broken pieces of our soul.
