Hi Seth,

Was Kabbalah hidden for so long because it’s scary and at the same time highly addictive? There are milliion questions hidden behind every answer and the person knows that he can never find EVERY answer, but the resolution of every doubt is so sweet, that he must continue on the path?

I could write a list with 1000 questions, but they would be obsolete by the time I send this text. So I just want to thank you for your help during my “Kabbalah Revealed 1&2”-journey and wish you all the best for your own search for answers! May you get all the right questions from newbies like me!

Greetings,

Ralitza

Hi Ralitza,
There are many reasons why the wisdom of kabbalah was hidden but those limitations are all lifted in our generation.
In short, you can imagine giving a teenager a sports car and a suitcase of cash the kind of troubles he can get in, but maybe you want to give him all the cars and a mountain of money, even more the Creator wants to give us all of all of the worlds. Everything is according to the preparation of the lower ones.
The wisdom is built on questions and answers.
I keep many many note books, dozens and I write notes in the margin of the books that we study.
I recommend that you write your questions. If you do it in a google doc or on the computer, you can catagorize them based on technical questions such as what is Galgalta V’einaim or curiosity questions like who built the Egyptian pyramids.
But the questions are good, and the more you can relate the questions to the material that we are studying together, the more swiftly you will feel how you start to come closer to the answers or start to hear the answers in the lessons.
Good luck,
Seth@KabU

Hi Seth, “love your neighbor as yourself” I suppose we first have to love our self, that is the hardest part!

Does Kabbalah helps to achieve this?

• #284058

Maika,
When you get up in the morning? Who do you shower? Who do you dress? Who do you feed? Which shows do you watch? All day we are seeking to fill ourselves with pleasure.
I understand that we have feelings that we are upset with ourselves or that we are frustrated with ourselves or we don’t like how our body looks, etc. This is something else.
I encourage you to observe your life today and if you are honest you will discover that every thing that you do, even if you do something for another, it is because of what you will get in return, in the form of money, honor, respect, safety, etc.
This is not to be judged because this is how the Creator made us as a will to receive.
Let me know how this exercise goes.
Good luck and looking forward to the next steps.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Hola Seth:

<p style=”text-align: left;”>When talking about the slave and the master, about the pillow, in this fragment of Toni’s talk:
” regarding the Hebrew slave…, he has but one pillow. If he lays on it himself and he does not give this to his slave. “, He continues with: “It turns out that against his will, he must give it to his slave , while the master himself lies on the ground.”
The Kabbalistic sense implies that it speaks of an internal spiritual process. I am not able to clarify which forces represent the slave and the master.

Henry,
Here, the important thing that we want to relate to here is a spiritual law.

As in the example with a pillow, I will have to give it to my neighbor. This is called, “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” “As thyself” serves as an example: you wish to take everything and give nothing to anyone. Now you give everything to others and receive nothing. That is the true meaning of “as thyself.” Since my natural self-love makes me desire everything, I have to love others in the same way – give them everything.

Now the expression “Love thy neighbor as thyself” becomes clearer. I have to prefer others to myself because previously I preferred myself to others.

Locating where is the slave and where is the master is a different matter.

Hi Seth, I understand my question was confusing as written. Your answer did apply to what I was asking. To make sure for my understanding I will try to ask in clearer form. If what I see in the world projects from my will to receive ego and I see another students question let’s say about struggling with an addiction then addiction that is in my will to receive egoistic desires is being projected out and is seen in the other student? So then because this addictive desire is in me and by nature of being a fractal of the other making us connected if I pray for the correcting light to correct the addictive egoistic desire in me in order that the other student that raised the question can receive correction also because of us being connected would this be the meaning of receiving in order to bestow? And you answered the second part by keeping the spiritual work in the group of spiritual seekers as only in this environment are we working towards bestowing. I do not know if this is clearer asking of the question. Theme is on correct form of prayer in context of receiving correction for myself in order to bestow towards the other.

Joseph,
If you pay attention, you will see confilicts between countries, conflicts within countries, conflicts in health, in relationships, broken financial systems. When you bring up an addiction, this is one of an endless number of things you could focus on.
Each piece of reality is a shattered piece of the vessel of Adam HaRishon. What is broken is the connection between all of these pieces.
On the one hand we live in this world and through it, every day we receive emotional impressions from the system.
Simultaneously we are working to upgrade our software, to format ourselves to a spiritual frequency.
You should do whatever is your power to do in this world if you can help your friend.
But this is one thing and correcting our soul is something else.

Hi Seth, question to check understanding; during this course fellow students asked questions about dealing with their experiences that resonated in my ego. Though differing situations similar theme. When I experience a sense of ego activation seeing myself in the others question is my role to assess what is in me that is causing this activation then projection? Then to pray for Creator to shine the light to correct my internal ego response/desire/projection to become in order to bestow?

Connecting question, would it be correct to only perform above process, if it is valid, (not sure until I receive answer) with only the students questions/interactions and not with others in my day to day life? To keep my focus only on what my ego activates as a need to correct within the group of like minded spiritual seekers and not people in day to day interactions?

Joseph,
I am confused reading your questions, they are not very clear to me.
So there are several things happening as you are studying now.
First we are learning about a world view that the kabbalists are writing to us and we are experimenting with it.
OK, they tell me that I’m a will to receive. Am I, do I observe myself, am I capable of doing something that is not for my own benefit? So we see our nature and the nature of all of reality around us.
And also we learn about our spiritual work which for now we do with those on the path with us.
If you go out and try to love you mortgage banker, you will walk out paying a lot of fees and he will feel the love and you will feel the empty pocket.

A 15-year-old took an AR-15 gun to school and shot many people. Three kids died and many wounded. I empathize with the parents involved on both sides. We also know what will happen: lawyers will dance all over waving the second amendment flag and no change will occur!.

how does Tikkum olam apply here?

• #219784

Omoregie,
This is a horrible situation. Unfortunately there is no shortage of stories like this.
We will be able to digest the answer little by little and the answer won’t enter in the ear, it will enter the soul.
We will have to build a soul where the light of the Creator dwells and then we will feel the upper worlds and from there everything we feel will take on new meaning.
For example, if there was a news company living in your belly, it could report on the wars between the acids and the foods that entered there. Or in the blood how our immune system battles the germs that enter. But we don’t have a news agency in our belly or our blood and we barely relate to what happens inside of us, only, do I feel good now or do I not feel good now, everything below the mind and feeling is a special dance of the inanimate, vegetative and animate degrees.

So let’s return to the story that you wrote about. From here, we need to feel that the body of humanity is not healthy and we feel bad and this causes us to search for why and what we can do about it.
Certainly by the time a boy walks into school with a gun, many many things happened already that lead to that moment. And the lawyers that follow, it’s the same thing. Can we imagine a child who grows up in a loving home, with good education about love for our fellow man and then this person grows up to be a lawyer who looks to profit off of tragedy?
We need to explain to humanity that our good future will come from the good connection between all of us, it will take time, but we don’t have any choice if we want our future to be good for everyone.
All of this is ahead of us.
Seth@KabU
