Preparation Prompt: Considering our journey thus far, how can we fortify our connection with the illuminating force? How do we amplify its transformative influence?

We can fortify our connection by developing the building blocks we have learned of so far.

The Ego that has been with us since birth, the point in the heart that has already awakened in us since we are here in this group, are the two essential ingredients.  The ego must cooperate with the point in the heart to work with a guide, the sources and the environment to build a Masach (screen) so that our Kli can draw Makif (the Light) from the Creator.

I’ll take a chance here and say that the ego can be guided, or maybe the word is regulated or even governed by the point in the heart.

I guess the somewhat boring answer is to stick to the three main tools: the teacher, the authentic books, and the group, and keep placing yourself in that environment. If the point in the heart is already there as a desire for spirituality, then being in an environment that constantly increases the importance of that goal should strengthen that desire and the influence of the Light.

I have to use an animal analogy again, but I think of it a bit like a trout. A trout is not going to thrive in the middle of a desert. Put it in the river, though, and suddenly it has the environment in which it can actually do what a trout does. I guess I see the point in the heart similarly: you put it in the right environment and give it the conditions to develop.

I must focus, not on changing or illuminating myself (the light doesn’t  transform us through that method) but on building the connection between us.

I think I can stay connected to the Illuminating Force by being aware of it. Reminding myself of the upper force, even though I am living in This World.  Knowing that the Creator is bestowing Light onto all of us, creatures.  By setting my intention to send light, joy, and healing to friends. I also set my intention to be consciously open and receptive to the light the Creator bestows on me.  I also set my intention to be grateful, even when things are not going the way I desire. Knowing that there is no one besides Him.
