I think in this case “helping” means being with others and interacting with them. What happens then, is totally open-ended: this may give them the opportunity to provide feedback to me, or I may give feedback to them, or we just exchange thoughts and hopefully mutually learn from this exchange.

Besides thegroup helping the growing of the point in the heart of the whole group and each person in it. Since we are animated with the same spiritual intention for advancement, it is also the only place through the inevitable clash of our ego that we can practice correction of our egotistic attitude in a safe place, since at the beginning it is not possible to do so in our circle of people in our ordinary life. Or so I understand

We can increase the point in the heart through the connection and elevation of each other in a spiritual environment, when absorbing each other’s desires we are amplifying our connection and hastening our correction towards the upper force.

Simply by connecting with others in the group will help grow the point in the heart in all. If the intent is genuinely to help others and not yourself you will help attract the light that reforms and advance the whole group.

In a Kabbalistic group we help the others by participating, giving feedback and our own point of view.  As a result of these interactions and from the guidance of the group leader we make spiritual progress.
