what is my role in life? Am I just here to eat, get all that I want, have kids, and die?

How can I contribute to humanity? How can I transfer the meaning of life to my kids?

All this is important to be conciseness about it, in order to live in harmony and create a

beautiful place to live, called world.

It has changed;  I can clearly see that now, It started completely with a selfish motive; which it was to get access to a life of abundance, happiness, and prosperity for my own good.

But now I am studying Kabbalah with the goal to learn how to be: love, joy, peace, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and have self-control. And put this at the benefit of others.

One of my biggest desires was always to learn how to “move with the currents and waves of life” and by doing so “raising everyhing around me”.

So, my current goal is the following: “You truly have learned how to live the good life in sync with spirit.”

now it seems that i feel i am very far from adhesion with the Creator. it’s like in everything that i do, even those acts that i felt was sharing before, now i realize that i am still receiving pleasure from it by feeling good. will it even be possible for humans to be complete bestowal?

Your doubts remind me of a small part of what I read in Shamati “There is None Else Besides Him”.

        (…)

And he, who always feels that the shattered is greater than the whole, meaning that there are many more descents than ascents, and he does not see an end to these states, and he will forever remain outside of holiness, for he sees that it is difficult for him to observe even as little as a jot, unless by overcoming above reason. But he is not always able to overcome. And what shall be the end?

Then he comes to the decision that no one can help him but the Creator Himself. This causes him to make a heartfelt demand that the Creator will open his eyes and heart, and truly bring him nearer to eternal adhesion with God. It thus follows, that all the rejections he had experienced had come from the Creator.

        (…)”
