To the perception of the Creator, which is beyond the perception of reality we perceive through our 5 senses. Kabbalah helps uus to develop this “sixth” sense which once attained will enable us to perceive the unity of the soul of Adam Harishon. I think Michael Brewer’s answer is very comprehensive.
From what I understand, the perception of reality that the study of Kabbalah is meant to lead us toward is one of connection and eventual adhesion with the Creator.
Our present perception is limited by a sense of separation—both from the Creator and from the collective soul. Through the study and practice of Kabbalah, the goal is to gradually correct that perception by correcting our egoistic desires so that we begin to experience the underlying unity and cohesion of the collective soul, and ultimately our connection with the Creator.
My understanding is that Kabbalists do not describe in detail what this attained perception feels like since it is beyond what words can communicate (at least to someone who has never experienced it). What seems most important is the movement from separation (where we perceive ourselves to be now) toward connection (where we actually are at all times in reality).
We want the study of Kabbalah to lead us to the perception of the reality beyond the five senses, (where the perception is limited by the will to receive). into the perception of the reality beyond the five senses, (where the perception expands to where the will to bestow predominates). and then come to understand how everything in our lives has come to us to facilitate that expansion of our perception.
