Hello, i am wondering what kabalah teaches us on addiction. Could be an obsession for a person or addiction to substance. Are we able to overcome addiction? And if so, what wisdom could you share please. Thank you

We are built like Pavlov’s Dogs, where every time we get pleasure from some source it reinforces our propensity to return to that source. Each time the pleasure enters us and departs, our desire for it increases with the feeling of missing it. But this is only up until a certain threshold beyond which the returns start diminishing, our pleasure decreases, and does so all the way down to zero pleasure, and even negative pleasure, until our life is wrapped in a veil of darkness, and the source of pleasure is no more, but I need that source now just to alleviate the darkness. Now begins a process whereby the darkness reduction starts diminishing. Say the pleasure has all but disappeared and in place of pleasure I have 100 grams of darkness. Now, instead of getting pleasure from the drug (or whatever) each time, I get only a reduction of this darkness. At first, it’s reduced 100%, then 90%, 80%, and so on until it can no longer affect the darkness – let alone provide any pleasure. All this is not even considering the effects on my body. This is how it is with every pleasure.
There is no solution in this world because that’s how we are built: we are meant to reach despair from reception in the above form, to see that it’s not just this way with this particular pleasure, but with all pleasures, and that the true pleasure is in another direction: bestowal outside myself, toward the Creator.
But on a simpler level, using the same principle, one needs to exchange the pleasure that controls him for another. For example, to engage in sport, exercise. This contradicts and cancels, to some extent, desires in the opposite direction. One has to fill one’s time, and the airways of one’s thought, with something else. There’s no other way. Unfortunately, we are built in an all-or-nothing kind of way. We either receive or bestow, are healthy or sick. It’s only possible to be in the middle after establishing a strong this-is-forever-and-all-there-is singularity on on the positive side.
And in spiritual way I am so ready to take anything from you in this forum,to be here it because of the creator via you and I was talking about that because spiritual works interrelate with physical so I tried my best to find a little and I put it in form of stock so that it help me and others in near future so now I know that this forum was created for spiritual purposes that creates everything okay in physical world that’s why I said please forgive me .But I am so happy with your response making us to be well connected in spiritual and physical.If I couldn’t have family I would not ask for that help but I would worked first for the spiritual
What i know is this world was created by God (Yahweh) So your experience and explanation so my question is it seems like you don’t include much about bible verses so why because bible is main source of everything?

It is written, holy are the words that lead to action. For the words to lead to action, I need to know that they refer to me – and to understand their instructions. It’s true that the Torah is the highest book. That’s referring to its quality in isolation. What about when I enter the picture? When I read it, do I know that it is all about me and contains nothing but direct instructions? Or do I feel like I’m reading a history, a story, etc. If so, it doesn’t lead to a holy action, that is, a spiritual correction. It’s like a physics book is far more important than some kindergarten science book but for he kindergartener, it’s of no use – and one who wants not just to be religious but correct their soul needs something for someone who is in kindergarten relative to the spiritual world so that he will be able to make a move, based on the instructions he’s given. And not be given instructions that he does not even recognize as instructions.
My brother died when he was just a 30-hour-old newborn. What does Kabbalah have to say about these lifes? Why does a soul have to reincarnate in a body that will die soon or will live (more like suffer) a life with a lot of medical problems?
This death also marked the end of my parents’ relationship. Was it maybe because it needed to happen for my parents to be pushed by Nature?

No, we can’t connect the dots until we see he whole system, up to the world of roots. Here, we only have their branches. It’s not that we don’t know why things happen only in those cases you mention. On the contrary, we think x happens, so y happens, so z happens. In reality, the future determines the past. What needs to happen in the next moment determines the present moment, and so on until the End of Correction (gmar tikkun).
Whats a kabbalistic way to respond to someone saying, no one knows what happens after we die, until we die. How can a kabbalist claim he knows.
Based on their spiritual attainment, Kabbalists tell those who follow them what will make their advancement toward attaining the spiritual reality the quickest and most convenient. That’s often not what is most pleasant to the corporeal ear since it’s correction. The student doesn’t have to take the advice. There are other paths and teachers which the student might find more agreeable.
Could Kabbahlism be considered a sect of Judaism? a school of Judaism ? Is it ever formally taught in Yeshivas? Has it ever met with any antagonism ? Why do Kabbalists seem to shy away from being called Jewish Mystics?

Terms like religious or mystical are only applied to Kabbalists by those who don’t really know what Kabbalah is. Everyone is, understandably, at least partly convinced that Kabbalah is religious and/or mystical – precisely to the extent of their lack of personal attainment of this wisdom. When one attains it, they see clearly that a great Kabbalist could show no signs of external religion. That’s because they are utterly independent.
Hello, I am in week 1 and have been reading Kabbalah revealed and watching the videos , I am attempting to understand, what is happening for me right now is perceiving my environment I’ve started with my lounge room , and the information that I’m receiving, what I am understanding is that this is a projection somewhat like an avatar of what is inside of me ? This leads me to a question if I think about this as being inside a box and there is another level then would I then begin to need to develop other senses to experience a reality that is around this reality? Am I developing a bridge between this world and the next ?
That’s right, Nicole. You need to develop an additional sense for the next dimension of reality, spirituality.
Hello Gianni , would this mean that my consciousness or an aspect of it is connected to the garden of eden ? This would make sense to me as I am made in his image ? So this would make reality binary ? Which means that there would be a different language possibly ? I think that if this is the case then I would be sure to come into contact with some spiritual beings in other worlds because this would have some sort of catalyst affect ?

We’re very realistic, as scientists. You have what you have, you see what you see, and you don’t have anything else. In the 5 senses one is born with, these trees, cars, people, planets is all there is. The fact that there’s a spiritual reality, just as real and even more so, that we can’t see is because the spiritual Screen over the desire doesn’t develop naturally as does the screen in, say, your eyes (retina), without which you’d lose most of your perception of this world as well. The spiritual Screen, nature doesn’t build for you without explicit requests from the person, in specific ways. With this screen you’ll discover everything that Kabbalists wrote about: Garden of Eden, etc.
