      Hi Gianni,

I am very confused by the article Shamati 11: Joy with Trembling.

      >> Where there is love, there should also be fear.

In the daily lesson on June 17th, Rav says: “Usually, we are in one of these states. Else we can not advance. One completes the other.”

Shouldn’t faith beyond reason mean faith over fear? Why would it be a requirement to have fear in order to have love for the friends or the Creator if there is none else besides Him?

      Regards – Pradeep

        Hi Pradeep,

These are all good, necessary things. We need fear to reach love. Before I can reach love, which will require fear in order to hold onto the love, I need to start with fear that I’m not taking care of the ten, I’m not sufficiently pushing them toward the goal, soon they will fall from the connection, or if we’re connected, we’re not connected enough. Until I’m worrying for this, all the way to the point of connection on the degree of Gmar Tikun, the fear is not enough – and it wouldn’t matter if I reached the degree of love as I would not be able to hold onto it without establishing fear first.

      Hi Gianni,
I heard Rav Laitman mention at the end of the convention that some Tens are ready to connect with other Tens, but not all. How can we discern if our Ten is truly ready for this step? We feel united in our inner connection and have a sincere yearning to begin connecting with another Ten. But is this enough?

Thank you Gianni, this reply helps greatly.

If you knew your proximity to the goal you might give up, or on the contrary, run toward it egoistically. In other words, you couldn’t move forward, Above Reason.

You go, doing all you can, until the end. The Creator knows when the end is.

One should not exert oneself to find romantic love before developing Love of Friends, right?

      • #440922

No, no – do whatever you want with romantic love. That’s nothing more than what birds do when the male dances in front of the female. It’s on the animate level. Kabbalah deals with higher things.

That said, Kabbalists always tried to be married so that the animate body of ours is taken care of and doesn’t bother us about that.

Ok. Must the other person have spiritual knowledge for the relationship to be successful? Love of fish may be a problem. Nobody likes to be used and left when “the magic” is gone.

They need to eventually learn that I’m on this path, for life, and a certain amount of my free time will be dedicated to it. And they need to fully support that.

        • #440928

Support? To accept it? Or more than that?

        • #440929

Just to support and not be against. They don’t need to study or be actively interested in it.

Look, I married someone who studied with us, and moreover I actively checked with others to ensure she was solidly a part of it. But that’s not required and may not even be possible for everyone. The standard is what I said: supportive and not against because this is my soul and you can take anything else from me but not this.

This is an emptiness one feels, right? Should one pray for that person to come to one’s life?

        • #440933

In the same vector as the spiritual work, one can also do things one needs to practically find someone.

But to clarify what you want and why, is already, along with the above mentioned, a sort of prayer

        • #440934

Wow Thank you very much, dear Gianni. Any tips to “dance” properly? I know that’s on the corporeal level, but maybe I have to keep in mind something you know and I don’t.

        • #440939

No, the only thing to have in mind is the goal of life. If that’s front of mind, the rest will be correct.

Hello! Yesterday’s KES was awesome! I just wanted to check if I understood the idea well… According to what I understood, the meaning of the binding of Isaac is that we cannot really “kill” our ego directly (Isaac), but there are aspects of our desires and the ego that are “killable” (the ram they sacrificed instead) because of their animal/corporeal nature. Did I get it well? The masach is the one who gives us the ability to scrutinize those, right?

      • #440163

Yes, the Will to receive is composed of many different parts, some we can work with now, some later, and some that can only be corrected at the End of Correction [gmar tikkun]. And we need the Masahch [screen] to identify them correctly.

Hello! I would like to know what my work should be when not in the group. What is my individual work to climb the ladder?

      • #438762

        For now:

        (1) I immerse in the writings of Kabbalists every chance I get, with the expectation that the Reforming Light will work on me

        (2) I try to more deeply sense “There is none else besides Him,” that there is no other force working in reality

        (3) I scrutinize my relationship to the group

Hi! I would like to know what kabbalah says about the part of the bibble that has to do with Jesus (the new testament) Thank you in advance 😀

      • #438274

Here is a blog about this from Dr. Michael Laitman:

A question I received: The information you present to the world is fascinating. Everyone in my family is Orthodox Christian, and I’ve read the Bible and the New Testament since childhood. My question is: Where is Jesus Christ in your science? This worries me most of all, and is the only thing about your method that raises a concern.

My Answer: He’s absent, because I only base my teaching on the three main Kabbalists: Rashbi (The Book of Zohar), the Ari, and Baal HaSulam (view his available works in English). Just like any other science, Kabbalah bears no relation to any religion. It is the physics of forces that are perceived and examined through our sixth sense – the corrected desire.

In contrast, religion speaks about carrying out certain actions and rituals in our world, rather than correcting one’s egoism by means of the Upper Light. However, all religions want this action attributed to them.
