Is having a positive self esteem not being humble? Rather exalting ourselves?

A person needs to feel like their basic needs are taken care of, like the quote, “There’s no Torah without flour.” Meaning, if a person doesn’t have their basic needs of theirs met, there’s no way they can start thinking about spirituality. For most of us, this is a critical need to have fulfilled and can be paralyzing which makes it challenging to think of anything else. You could take this to the extreme as well and have too much of this “esteem” and it takes on a more negative function.
You’ll have to inspect this yourself and draw your own conclusions. The matter of annulment towards society is something you’ll eventually have to encounter, but hopefully, by then you would be prepared for such a decision.
Best of luck,
Chris

Hey mrc,
There are a few ways to interpret what you’re asking, but you’d could say humans, the speaking degree, have the ability to be like the Creator whereas all other levels in nature act only according to the laws that givern there and have no free choice.
It’s also correct to say that there is non else besides Him.

Should we be able to do anything? What if we can do bad things, should we be able to do bad things?
- February 9, 2023 at 12:35 pm EST #312152Chris – KabU InstructorModerator
You’re asking like you forgot we’re in a system that operates us 100%. If we do something “bad” this is us doing it? Or we were made to feel that it was “us doing it”?

Should we do good first to those who suffering or to those we love.?

Hey mrc,
The longer you’re on this path, the more clear it will be to you that those who study with you are where you have to do the spiritual work. You have to fall “into their arms”, depend on them, feel that the ability to think in the direction of bestowal completely depends on that environment. The work must be mutual for you to succeed.
Thanks!
Chris

<p style=”text-align: right;”>Does the fear of God including awe? thx</p>
- February 6, 2023 at 9:43 pm EST #311961Chris – KabU InstructorModerator
Hey mrc,
Kabbalah explains that “fear” of God is only the spiritual interpretation which is what a person feels when they fear they won’t be able to bestow to the Creator as He bestows. The interpretation should be towards bestowal, and not egoistic fear which is always fearing I might lose something that is important to me or afraid I won’t receive something I should receive or fear of a consequence.

Don’t forget it’s all a “movie” for you. You see what you need to see for the movie to play out as the Creator wants you to see it.
