How does one know when they’ve ascended to a specific degree in the spiritual world? Are you able to enter in and out of the spiritual world on demand? What does that look like? Those of you who have been practicing for years, what is that you’re experiencing that informs you beyond a shadow of a doubt the truth of Kabbalah?

Attainment is perception, as if you are holding it in your hand.
If you go to New York City, you know you are in New York City, you know the smells, the sights and the sounds. And if you leave, you still have rememberences of being there, you have “reshimot” of the experience of being there (of the light entering that vessel).
Similarly, spirituality is no less tangible in your senses, but not in your 5 corporeal senses. It would be like a person who was born blind, God forbid and then through some miracle the doctors figure out a way to correct his sight and then he can see. He can now see a world that was already there but he didn’t have the vessel of perception to see it.You will build your foundation step by step. No blind faith.
First things first, the kabbalists are telling us that all of creation is a will to receive. Your inner work now is to identify your will to receive. Do not judge it now, simply identify it. Identify that force that is operating your every thought and desire. Identify that force that is operating in every squirrel and bird, in every boss and employee.
From here we will be able to add additional discernments. But first we need to identify what it is that the Creator created.

Hi Seth,
This may have been asked already and apologize if I missed the question.
Can you please share who or what are we bestowing to? Can this be our families , friends and co workers or is it more of giving “good energy’ or gratitude to the Creator?
Also I read in one of your answers that we constantly need to develop a desire or “pray” to have the desire to bestow. Are theses prayers in future lessons and are they religion type prayers?

We can bestow to everyone and they may not know it.
Can we say that piano felt the love and passion of Beethoven when he played it?
The kabbalist lives in two worlds. This world like everyone else and another world, a world of bestowal and love and only those who are on that degree can perceive that. Two kabbalists can recognize each other but a regular person would have no idea who is a kabbalist, there are no external signs.There are prayers that were arranged by the sages, but what we are discussing mainly is the desire of the heart. You can speak to the Creator like He is your most beloved.
Also if you are looking for something to read, the Psalms of King David are very powerful. David included the whole Malchut of all of the desire of Israel.

In regards to the concept of creating a creature to fill it with delight, does this apply to us on the human level also? Is having children encouraged or required for attaining a higher level of spiritual growth within Kabbalah?
I have just received then books that were suggested for this course. Is there a specific order that we should read these books to get a clearer understanding?

In the past kabbalists wouldn’t accept students who were not married and working. In our times, the students who are committed and on the path with our teacher, Rav Laitman, almost everyone is married with a family, however we don’t make any requirements of students who want to come and study. The main thing is to start on the path and to grow step by step.
Regarding filling the creature with delight, there is also the matter of this world, but the books are describing delights that are suitable for the “human” degree, the spiritual degree. Those are pleasures of kedusha and are above the pleasures of the “beastly” degree, all of the material pleasures of this world.
Let’s imagine whatever the greatest pleasure that a dog can feel and then let’s image the pleasure of a human falls in love, there is no comparison between the degrees of pleasure between the two. The gap between the pleasures of this world and the spiritual world is even larger than the gap between us and the animals on the degree below us.

So if we are trying to reach or become like the Creator ( in terms of the quality of bestowal ).
Where do we get that which are going to bestow from ?
In other words from where do we get that which we are supposed to bestow to others ?

It comes from above this world.
We have natural, worldly desires and they can be fulfilled, food, sex, family, money, honor, power, knowledge.
However, we don’t have a desire for bestowal. This is not “terrestrial”, it comes from above. We have to develop a desire for it and “pray” for it, meaning, calibrate our heart to it.

What about animals? It seems the universe, creator has only time for human’s, what about the animals that create part of our ecosystem. We would not survive without them so what are they? Are they part of nature, are the separate creatures or are they apart of us?

Everything in reality is connected and part of one single, connected system, all of the animals, plants, even planets and stars.
The spiritual human is the only part in this system that can consciously come into equivelence with her Upper Spiritual Root.
Everything below the human is dependant on the human. As the human rises, all of the lower parts of nature rise with her.

In the Upper Worlds there is no “human”.
Imagine that before you was two choices. On the one hand, go sit in traffic and then go to work all day and on the other hand, come and take eternal fulfillment. Which choice would you pick? 🙂
And if every choice was eternal fulfillment, then there is no choice and there is no human, we are absorbed into the light and that is the Upper Sensation.
However in order that we would feel ourselves as ourselves and also come to feel Him and His Light of eternal fulfillment, for that reason we were separated and from this place we now build ourselves back up to Him.
