Partícipe– If our perception of reality is basically distorted and programed or in other words; conditioned
then how can we be confident that we are understanding these very lessons truly?
– Where do our thoughts come from? We perceive them but we do not use any of our 5 common senses to do that. What are thoughts in this regard and do they have any value at all?

ModeratorActingraphy,
Of course each one perceives through his own vessels. That is clear.
However we also live on earth and there are laws that are established. While we study that spirituality is beyond time, space and motion, we also live in a world where gravity is a reality.
We know that it is hotter in the summer than it is in the winter. So like this we start to construct for ourselves an understanding of what we are studying. There will be confusions, of course, but we advance with both heart and mind, these are our tools, so take notes, try to understand at least in a simple way without bringing all of your luggage from your past, just learn what we are studying in a simple way. Later we will acquire other tools which are above our mind, but even then we still return to the mind and back and forth from entrances and exits we advance, as it says, “the Torah will come out of Zion (exits)”.All of our thoughts and everything in reality develops through a process of cause and effect. Thoughts serve the desire. Change the desire and the thoughts will change.

PartícipeHello Seth,
Thanks for the comprehensive reply. I got cleared. This part that you mentioned “your luggage from your past” is so interesting to me… you mean both the past studies, right?
In response to another question, I was told that “Thoughts” are coming from Him and for this reason they are important, so based on
” Thoughts serve the desire. Change the desire and the thoughts will change.”
we cooperate with Him, somehow, in terms of the kind of thoughts that are coming to us at any given moment, is that correct?

ModeratorZeinab,
All of our bodily desires renew naturally, hunger, sleep, etc.
Unlike our bodily desires, our spiritual desire is given to us and then it is upon us to develop it consciously, through our efforts. Through our study and through the work with the others on the path with us we build an inner system in our emotions of what the Creator is, what is it that we are aiming to attain. After all the Creator does not change, the light of the Creator fills all of reality endlessly with no limitation. It is only upon us to prepare our spiritual vessels for this.
That is the purpose of our study to draw lights upon us that clarify what is this spiritual desire, where is it and raises us to it? When the vessel is ready, the light immidiatly fills it.
To correct our will to receive we are given the world around us. And the work begins with the small circle of those who are studying with us, who are playing this game with us, we will learn about this much more in the next semesters. From there we will expand the circles wider and wider until we include the whole of reality in our hearts.

PartícipeWhat is the 6th sense? Seers? Empaths? Or is it something entirely different?

ModeratorHi Leah,
We are generally referring to perception of the spiritual reality.
Our corporeal 5 senses are roots of the upper sefirot.
Hochma = eyes
Bina = ears
etc..
But altogether we are referring to opening up a completely different perception of reality, something eternal.

PartícipeAn additional question, if you don’t mind, Seth: of the three books recommended which one is the best for continuous study (also considering the next phases)? Thanks

ModeratorNorman,
The purpose of creation is to create a creature and fill it with endless delight.
This single thought alone sets all of reality, all of creation into motion from one end to the other. In the process of the development of the kli (the vessel) that will hold, that will feel all of that delight, the kli comes to a state where it is 100% to receive. The Creator is 100% bestowing delight and the kli, the vessel is 100% opposite.
Now the kli was made, but there is a problem, it is as far from the Creator as possible, totally opposite.
This causes another set of operations. How can the kli bridge this endless gap between her and the Creator?
We will learn all of this in great detail later, but in short, she has to receive, she is a desire to receive, that is what the Creator made and to fulfill creation she needs to receive everything that He is bestowing, but instead of receiving for herself, she develops an intention (kavana) that she will only receive because she wants the Creator to be happy, she receives for the sake of all of creation (love of others), not for herself (self love). Little by little she corrects her intention until all of reality is included in this corrected vessel and the light of the Creator is clothed in all of reality in actuality. This is called the end of correction.
