What Exactly Is Spirituality

Spirituality… does anyone know what it is? How can a person attain spirituality? What does it even mean to attain spirituality? People have piles of questions and are offered even more loads of answers, because everyone has their own definitions of spirituality. Yet, the demand for spiritual fulfillment has increased dramatically during the last 15 to 20 years. So how can a person attain something which he- or she is not even able to define, or even know where to look for the “right” answers? Dr. Michael Laitman explains why one cannot imagine what spirituality is, and what can be done to satisfy one’s spiritual yearnings.

Who or What Is a Spiritual Guru

So called spiritual gurus are special because they can attract and control people. A Kabbalah teacher has to present himself to a student in a genuine way. He has to show the student what a person who corrects his ego will feel along the way.

Law of Interdependency

The law of interdependency states that by changing one’s attitude from self concern to global concern, one positively affects the whole system of which one is a part, ensuring its survival.

Law of Motivation

The law of motivation states that humans are naturally motivated to seek lasting fulfillment, but are unable to achieve it in their regular selfish desires. Therefore, in order to achieve unlimited pleasure, humans need a new motivation, beyond selfishness, which is to fulfill others.

Law of Necessity & Surplus (2)

The law of necessity and surplus states that a person has individual and social desires, and how one uses one’s social desires determines whether there is harmony or imbalance on personal and global scales.

Law of Purpose

The law of purpose states that the only way to produce positive, and purposeful results is by changing the thought behind an action.

Law of Success

The law of success in a global world is that the individual considers the success of society equal to his own success.

IntoTruth – Cracking The Jewish Riddle

“Into Truth” is the result of a lengthy period in which Lio and Amit saw the words of their teacher come to life. A direct continuation of the ancient writings by the great Kabbalists who preceded him. They portrayed a world dominated by a growing human ego and its devastating consequences in the relationships in the modern family, in society, in economics, and in every aspect of human endeavor. But they also offered a practical alternative. This unbearable gap – between a way of life that creates meaning, unity and love – and everyday life full of separation and increasing social extremes had made it clear they had to do something. They felt that the time had come to share the authentic wisdom of Kabbalah that so many are not familiar with. Laitman was happy when he first heard of the idea but was annoyed when he learned they plan to trail him in his travels. “What do you need me for? The wisdom is what’s important, not me.” But Amit and Lio insisted, “Ideology is difficult to present without a character. We must convey it through someone and you are that figure.” Five years have elapsed and just like that, between making a living and raising children, between hope and waves of terror attacks, and after thousands of miles and endless interviews and meetings with state officials, social and political leaders, tons of filming and millions of excuses, Amit and Lio still had reservations about which direction this film should take. But time is a great doctor, and with the recent rise in Anti-Semitic sentiment worldwide and the mounting tensions in Israel they decided to focus on the most relevant materials from his last trip to the United States. The result is this film.
