VerenaPartícipeWhat is the right prayer to ask in terms of helping the ten develop? I understand we thrive to connect more and more, to learn to bestow, to learn to bring contentment to the creator. But how do I turn this to the creator? And does it actually make sense to ask as an indivual or does this prayer have to come from a deep deficiency of all the ten members to be heard at all?

Gianni – KabU InstructorModeratorYou can ask ask ask. In any way. Theres no exact correct prayer except one that is true. Try to find what is actually true. There is something that is true for the Point in the Heart, that you can actually ask truly.

VerenaPartícipeHi Gianni, I understand that as we progress, the desires become coarser, the amplitude of decents and ascents higher, and at the same time we thrive for more and more connection, annulling before the friends more and more. I can relate to it if I think of it including the physical aspects of life. With respect to a virtual environment, where and how does this increasing coarseness show? And are there limits to virtual tens in terms of perceiving this coarseness or can this work all be done in this virtual realm with some exeptions of attending congresses physically?

Gianni – KabU InstructorModeratorYou can do it in a virtual environment. It’s many times stronger if you have at least attended a KabU retreat, as it builds a template for the work later on.
You really just need to measure your attraction, repulsion, or indifference to the ten, your friends. Check this all the time. Because what happens is a deviation from unity with your friends, so that each is in their own thoughts, desires, direction. I like to retreat to being alone, in my own style, and not to be in unity with my friends. From there also comes all kinds of corporeality – but in what and how, we can’t say.

Magsy KapoorPartícipeDear Gianni,
I’ve watched the lessons and read the excerpts but I still don’t understand what this “Devotion” that is being talked about lately actually is. I can’t locate it inside me, neither in my heart, nor in my imagination so that I can aspire towards it. Can you please try to explain it in a way that will give me even a small grasp on it?
Thank you ❤️

Gianni – KabU InstructorModerator“Devotion” is מסירות נפש (mesirut nefesh): complete annulment, absolute devotion
It’s that I have just one desire – to adhere to the teacher, the friends, the Creator – above any and all states that pass through me. It’s a decision that I’m watching in advance that nothing can come that will pull me out of the ten. The center of the group pulls me left, right, wherever it wants, I go. Say, like a sperm’s journey to fertilize the egg – it has to be ready to make great efforts, only to practically have something completely different be made out of it, something that we can say somehow includes it, but also discards some external aspects of it. It has to be ready for whatever to be done with it. There’s such a process because of the spiritual process we’ll all have to go through to be born into the spiritual world. Except for us, these are all internal actions you can’t necessarily see on the person.

RickiPartícipeHello 🙂
As an English speaker/reader, sometimes I get confused about whether ‘body’ refers to the desire which i feel in my corporeal body, or if ‘body’ refers to partzuf or partzufim. For example “At that time, the whole body disagrees with one’s work, since it does not feel any taste in the servitude.” Baal HaSulam, Shamati, Article No. 219, “Devotion”
What interpretation will help me to progress toward the Creator?Thank you, l’chaim

Gianni – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Ricki,
The most useful interpretation of the “body” that resists coming close to connection and bestowal, is you – how you feel yourself, your willingness, your resistance. You, at the level of your desire, is the most genuine matter on which to check.

Kimadigital7PartícipeWhen one begins to feel a sense of deficiency, what he truly need, how should this be applied within the ten?
Should I feel that this deficiency belongs to all ten, and should I perceive that my friends feel the same deficiency as I do?- June 29, 2025 at 2:27 pm EDT #443879
Gianni – KabU InstructorModeratorThere is my deficiency and the deficiency of the ten, a deficiency that comes from outside of me.

Magsy KapoorPartícipeDear Gianni, I hope you have time to answer this, cause I really don’t know what’s happening. When I feel like I’m loathe to make the effort, the minute I recognize that this is a chance for me to do something for the sake of the Creator, I get happy and I now want to do it. It no longer requires overcoming. I don’t thrust this joy cause it feels like I convinced the ego to work because it found some benefit in it. How should I approach this?
Thank you ❤️

Gianni – KabU InstructorModeratorAll our actions are going to be in varying degrees of Lo Lishma. We want to steal more and more from the Will to Receive, getting it to work one way or another. Generally what you describe sounds like a good direction, there should be joy in the work toward the Creator. If we refine the intention more in quality then we always find the place where the Will to Receive disagrees, and we need the Creator.
