PartícipeI’ve thought once ‘a point in the heart must be like a hole, it is dark’. In a recent discussion in the ten a friend said according her remembering of studying pticha – a point in the heart is a corrupted desire, and that this point in the heart, as a dark one, attaches itself to the ahap of a ‘person’ with a higher degree. I’ve thought the GE, meaning the light of a person, i.e. the light of someone get linked to the ahap of a higher degree person. So – is the point in the heart a dirty and corrupted place/sequence parzufim are linking through?

PartícipeHi Gianni, thank you for not deleting my post. Today I got the answer from the lesson
“(…)at its essence, Malchut has no more than a dot, a black dot that has no white in it.
If one accepts that dot as the core, and not as something superfluous that one wishes to be rid of, but moreover, he accepts it as adornment, it is called “a handsome abode in one’s heart.” This is because he does not condemn this servitude, but makes it essential to him. This is called “raising the Shechina [Divinity] from the dust.” When one sustains the basis as his core, he can never fall from his degree, since there is no departure in the core. (…)”

PartícipeToday my questions are more clear
1. Is the point in the heart actually a corrupted desire/dark light? And does it get connected with the dark light of the ahap of the upper degree?
2. I’ve heard we have no soul until we grow one, but in articles is said about souls and their arrival in this world, for example. Do we have individual souls? Is the point in the heart considered as a soul?
I apologies for the inconvenience, I will never forget again that texts cannot be edited. I’ll do better! Thank you!

ModeratorSorry I missed this, Clara.
1) No the Point in the Heart is like the stem cell or seed of the vessel for the Light. It can’t take any volume yet because it’s a lone Point for now.
2) The books usually speak of the state we should aspire to. The Point in the Heart is the beginning of the soul, but such an early phase of it that we can’t feel anything spiritual in it.

PartícipeHi
Could you connect me to the song and to the lyrics in Hebrew of this song?
Song hummed (kind of) – ah when I posted the post it stripped out the link to Cloudup whee I put a recording of me humming it. So with no link – the only word I recall from the song is milchama –
I wanted to join in the song at the Sukkot convention when I was there at the Centre, but I didn’t know the words.
Sorry if this is a bit opaque.
Thank you.
Kind regards,
David

ModeratorHi David,
There are many songs about the inner war (milchama) with the evil inclination. You might take a look here and at other channels liked by our friends https://on.soundcloud.com/rZxn2MbkRJtpwc9r7

PartícipeHi Gianni,
this is from blog post from the Rav on Nov 16, 2010 @945 am “Later, when a person begins discerning it, he arrives to great disappointment. Therefore, the method of Kabbalah, before anything else, stresses the need to unite, although it must not occur in the corporeal plane (between you and me). The entire method is aimed at the necessity to unify and correct the soul, meaning that I must unify these two parts in my perception.”
Question: From the statement above and especially the part in bold, does it mean then, that i can unite with people spiritually and not necessarily, corporeally with them? an example , can i have a corporeal disagreement with a corporeal entity ( not one of the ten ) , and i can fix this relationship spiritually without addressing it corporeally?
lmk. thanks

ModeratorNo, Nature’s laws are the Creator’s laws. That is, His law spreads over the whole of reality. And the corporeal level demands corporeal actions. Once a problem already reached this level, I have to deal with it at the level that I encounter it.

PartícipeHi again 🙂
Shamati 201: …However, in spirituality, there is a discernment of Klipot (shells), which guard the body and sustain it. This is why it is hard to let go of it. This is why we see that it is easier for secular people to abandon their body, that they do not find heaviness in their body…
I am a bit confused with this part, the body here is the ego? It is easier for secular people to abandon their egos?? No heaviness in their ego? In spirituality Klipot guard the ego?
Can you please help me understand this passage? I am completely lost here…
Thank you in advance!

ModeratorYes, if I want to die for my country, relatively no problem. If I want to go meditate on a mountain, even go without food, my ego supports such actions. But if the reason is that I want to work only for the sake of the Creator, then the ego will resist with all its might. No, need to believe or not believe – this is how it is and each will see that.

PartícipeHow? And what does this mean? Can you please explain it as deeply as possible?

ModeratorIf I value the source that is giving me more than I value myself, then he can take me on his shoulders, like a kid, that I’m not big yet, but for the time being it is as if I’m big.

PartícipeHello Gianni,
According to Kabbalah, the future determines the past. How does present fit in this equation? I guess that present is the meeting point between those two, but what is its “role” and does/how it affect any of those?
Thank you in advance!

ModeratorWorking intensely with the present, instead of living in the past and future, is how we draw closer to the good, future state. We have the perfect work before us in the ten. We need to see what we need to do, and ask for help to do it.
