As astounding as all of this is, my thoughts keep pointing towards a conclusion that Kabbalah is a really simple concept. I want (ego that is) to categorize it into “5 minutes to learn, a lifetime(s) to master”. Clearly an oversimplification. While I am occasionally feeling confused, and overwhelmed, I feel crystal clear so far. I wanted to write you to say thank you for the expert presentation of this deep subject. Each presenter, teacher, and author has worked to make it possible for me to see, and I thankfully, honestly, think I am getting it. Kabbalah feels right and true. I am looking forward to learning more. Actually, I am excited at the opportunity to learn it all. Thanks again!
Hello, what is the source for the term “equivalence of form”?
Is it in the Zohar, or is it directly from Rabbi Ashlag’s teachings?

Baal HaSulam did the heavy lifting for us and systematically articulated it, however we can see the concept in the Zohar, the ARI, Ramchal and many others.
The Zohar (Lech Lecha 89) says that the Creator has no physical form, so attachment to Him must be through inner resemblance of his attributes.

I’m more interested in the source of the concept than the term itself. I’m wondering if its in “classical” Kabbalah or if its a more recent developement.

I’d like to understand more about the role of bestowal, especially in regards to ourselves vs others.
From what I can tell, Kabbalah doesn’t teach bestowal as simply giving to others at the expense of yourself.
So how do we relate to bestowal in regards to our own desires/pleasure?
Do we have to transform our will to receive into a form of bestowal upon ourselves?
Meaning, we turn the receiving of our own desires/pleasures into an act of giving them to ourselves consciously, instead of just unconsciously taking?

The Creator created only one creation, a will to receive pleasure.
This is root of our nature that comes to us from nature.
You wake up and you spend all day thinking of how to fulfill yourself and if you think of doing something for another, it is only to satisfy yourself.
This is not praised or condemned, this is how we are created.
It sounds to me like this is not crystal clear to you, so it is worthwhile to examine your desires and the desires of the bird outside, everyone runs around to fulfill themselves.From this self love, we can get an example of what it could mean to love another.
What would it mean to do everything for another without any thought of self benefit.
This would be to bestow, this would be the correction of our will to receive, however,this is not the end of the story since the Creator created us and wants to fill us with endless delight.
So after the correction of our nature we move to the next state which is to fulfill the purpose of creation which is to receive again from the Creator, but this time, we only receive on the condition that all that Light that we receive from above, we don’t receive to fulfill ourselves, but only to bestow it upon the others.

I do understand the first part about the only thing that was created was the will to receive.
You then jump to “From this self love…”, but what if the person experiences so much shame around receiving that they haven’t reached that self love yet?
Does changing the intention from receiving to bestowal also affect our relationship with receiving from the Creator, or is it purely in relation to other people?

First to clarify, we are born only with a nature of self love. Not to get confused that there is anything else operating here, that is the force operating us, everything we do is for our own benefit.Regarding the second idea you asked, it turns out that the Creator is dressed in our reality and that by exerting to love others, through these actions we correct our desire to receive for ourselves and then reach the creator. Love of others is the means by which we reach love of the Creator.

Hi, my question is how can one person really change his intention to an altruistic one so that he can become like the Creator? Like is it more like a philosophical concept or practical day to day concept? If it is practical day to day affair then how can one person really become altruistic when most of the fellow human beings try to take advantage of you since they are trying to satisfy their egoistic self?

We will dedicate a lot of time to the texts that write about this. You are correct that it is not in our nature and that we are surrounded in the world by savage egoists who will take advantage of our kindness, money, etc in a second if given the opportunity, so how is this possible to do?
All of the efforts to acquire this spiritual degree don’t actually get us there, what happens is that all of those efforts prepare us to be a vessel where that Upper Light (that transforms our heart) can dwell in.
On the outside you can’t distinguish a Kabbalist from a regular person, but the internality, the degree of the soul is what transforms.

So in essence, if the creator is pure unconditional love, is this what we are striving for? to love unconditionally everyone and everything we perceive in this reality? And create our own worlds within our environment that spread or share this unconditional love? Is that what we are all here to do? Or is it different for each of us?

It’s true, but certainly you will need to feel what is love? How does one love? What action does one do?
In fact, the action is in the heart. A spiritual act is in the intention.
Is a hot day more spiritual than a cool day? Is giving food better than taking food? If everyone is giving, then who will receive, how can one be a giver if there is not a receiver. So everything will be reciprocal in one harmony, but this is beyond our mind to understand, but in the heart we can be connected in this new way called love of the other and then between the rejection and the attraction we reveal the Creator between us.

As a life long Christian, my original search was to find the authentic teachings of Jesus. Since he was a Jew, I suspected that his teachings wouldn’t be what is interpreted by the writings of the New Testament, but teachings of religious leaders of his time (Torah). What drew me to his teachings were the two great commandments he gave to his followers. I hold these commandments as my personal source of spiritual wisdom. By enrolling in this study I hope to finally begin to love my neighbours more than myself. I am looking forward to achieving this with your help.
From this lesson it seems, that achieving the goal is referred to as the 6th sense. I am hoping that I am thinking on the correct lines …

Loving the other as ourselves is the method, adhesion with the Creator is the goal.
Through accustoming ourselves to cover our ego with love every time, and by studying correctly from the books of the kabbalists we draw upon ourselves a reforming light that gives us a new perception of reality, a perception that “I” do not end at my skin, but the new illumination (6th sense as you call it) depicts for me a reality where I am one with everyone.
