how do the kabbalist see the difference between intention and will.

Boke,
The will is the desire. This we don’t have control over.
We get hungry, we get tired, etc..
The intention is the human part that dresses on the will.
We are born, as it says, as a “beast”. It means like an animal. I get hungry, I look to fulfill that hunger.
When the degree of adam, “man” is born in us, then I eat, but I am eating not because of the unconscious desire that arises in me, which by the way I must fulfill … by nature, I must eat to live, every animal body must, but I now have a relationship with the One who emanated, created and formed reality into existence and I want to be connected with what the kabbalists call the Creator.
That He wants to fill all of the creatures with delight. So I am eating (will), in order to bring Him contentment (intention).

If the vessel was created only to receive, how is something able to go against its purpose, against the Creator’s Will for it to receive? This is like the clay vessel saying to its creator “why did you make me thus?” If the vessel has the power to think for itself and want to be like the Creator, isn’t that making ourselves to be A Higher Level than what we were created to be?
So what is embedded within the vessel during its’ creation that is built only to receive, that causes it to realize “it is better to give than to receive”? Is that also given by the Creator and part of the vessel? If so then the vessel is NOT only a will to receive but it also contains some sort of hidden “gene” or “potential” to realize and be activated?
Is this hidden potential, the cause of our noticing the difference in the pleasure to only receive versus the pleasure to give that it is experiencing in Binah?

Alejandro,
There are many processes and operations that happens as the Light cascades from Ein Sof until the mixing of Malchut with Bina, the shattering of the vessel, etc.
We will learn about this later.
In short, the vessel also receives, not only abundance from the Light, but it also receives from the Light the quality to be like the Light.
At the end of the story, the vessel has to receive as the entire purpose of creation is to fill that vessel with endless delight, however, the switch that will happen is that it will receive, but it receives, not for itself, but receives to give contentment to the Creator.
Everyone wins 🙂

In this clip from the daily kabbalah lesson (23 Dec, 2009) “The Creator’s Revelation & Concealment – 5 Minutes Of Light”, Dr. Michael Laitman states that:
“Forms that can not cloth inside my matter manifest as trouble in my life”.
How can we understand this assertion?
Being matter the desire and forms the intention, it is, in which direction will we use the desire. Does it mean that we suffer when we are unable to drive the desire into the will to bestow?
Thank you!

In the related material, in the video “How to Attain the Deepest Form of Independence”, there is a clip from the daily kabbalah lesson (23 Dec, 2009) “The Creator’s Revelation & Concealment – 5 Minutes Of Light”.
Dr. Michael Laitman explains how the Creator’s revelation brings you goodness, & the Creator’s concealment brings you troubles.
I would like to dive deeper into this topic.
Could you please share with us some links to some articles, passages from a book, some videos… to go full into this idea?
Thank you very much

Marta,
Wonderful.
Yes. This understanding will stabilize inside of you as a result of your efforts in quantity and quality. An answer to a question such as this doesn’t just slip in your ear and that’s it, you own it.
We can certainly explain the concept and we will. But to understand it and feel it, this comes as a result of your inner transformation.
Here is an example, not spiritual, but will paint a picture. Imagine that all of the water, sunlight, energy, minerals, raw materials,…imagine if everything we need to build a perfect world is being poured on us from above, and we are drowning in it.
But if we can make some umbrella above us so that we are not being hit over the head with all of these raw materials and from under the umbrella we start thinking and preparing and arranging and deciding how to arrange all of these things. Once we understand and implement it, then we can receive all of the sunlight and not get burnt, we can receive all of the water and not drown, all of the minerals, the energy, everything is available and abundant, only it is up to us how we will use it or we will drown in it.Here are some sources to begin to depict what this means:
https://laitman.com/2011/05/two-sides-of-the-thought-of-creation/#gsc.tab=0https://kabbalahmedia.info/en/sources/6K5za3Hd
Read these a few times and let’s go from there.

In the related readings, in the article “Preface To The Wisdom Of Kabbalah”, from the book Kabbalah for the student (p.565), it is said that:
“(…) I shall briefly reiterate that the Thought of Creation was to delight the creatures, in accordance with His abundant generosity. For this reason, a great desire and craving to receive His abundance was imprinted in the souls.
This is so because the will to receive is the Kli (vessel) for the measure of pleasure in the abundance, since the measure and strength of the will to receive the abundance precisely corresponds to the measure of pleasure and delight in the abundance. And they are so connected that they are indivisible, except in what they relate to: the pleasure is related to the abundance, and the great desire to receive the abundance is related to the receiving creature.”
Could we state that the need and craving are feelings of the creature, due to its desire to receive, and the pleasure is actually related to the bestowal, it is, that there is pleasure in giving, and a sense of lack and yearning in receiving?
That could be a reason to imitate the Thought of Creation by receiving in order to bestow, since there is pleasure in giving and only a fleeting satisfaction in fulfilling its needs, only to return to the sense of lack and the craving and yearning.
Thank you for clarifying this point!

Marta,
You are doing good work.
In general you are on target, however there are some finer details we can explore here.
To be clear, as the text says, the Thought of Creation was to delight the creatures, to the full measure of the Creator’s generosity.
Here is where your explanation veers off the path a bit….if the creature does not receive all of this abundance, then the creature is not fulfilling the Thought of Creation. The creature must receive and more then that, the creature must receive in the full measure of the Creator’s generosity.
What you mentioned that pleasure is fleeting is a function of the physical world and regarding the text, there is no physical world yet. (The text at this point is talking about states before time and space.). The issue that happened is that the creation that is filled with abundance is at this point called Malchut of Ein Sof, meaning the Light of Ein Sof, the endless light filled the endless vessel.
So what’s our problem? That should have been the end of the story, why would we need our world, reality as we know it, etc.
So here’s the probelm, Malchut of Ein Sof felt herself opposite from the Creator. He is 100% to bestow and she is 100% to receive and due to this “disparity of form”, she felt something called busha, like spiritual shame from being so opposite from the Creator.
And here comes now the next big chapter in the story, Malchut of Ein Sof expels all of the light from within her, leaving her 100% empty.
This is also a problem because now she is not fulfilling the purpose of creation which is to fill her with delight and also, she feel endlessly empty now.
Then begins the next step which the building of the screen (masach) and the calculation to only receive as much light into herself, only on the condition that she can receive in order to give contentment to the Creator, to receive in order to bestow.
We will study all of this together in the future,

My question is: could it be a way of taking not only for itself if the creature desires to give itself totally to the Creator, as a response to the fulfillment it has received from the Will to Bestow? Could it be this open up and total surrender of itself a way to correspond to the fulfillment of the thought of creation? A way of giving (itself) caused by receiving, as a natural reaction to the fact that it has received fulfillment from the Creator.
Thank you!

Marta,
In concept, but what is total surrender?
Surrender to what? How? Where is the Creator that I can communicate with Him?
We will learn about all of these states and where our inner work is.
Now we want to be clear about the fundamentals of the wisdom, what are the forces operating on us, where is it leading us and what can we do with all of this.Seth@KabU
