csillaParticipantsorry to bother for this question, but i don’t understand the quote, if someone would please explain the quote (below), because i unfortunately don’t understand much beginning with who are the ‘them’, the ‘anyone’ and the ‘one’ complaining; and then, the actual intended meaning is difficult, since i may not understand, in which way the reader is supposed to identify with the examples, meaning, is the opposite intended as what is preferable? sorry, i’m just confused by it. thanks though 🙂 very much.
One can complain only to the one he works for, and demand to be given vitality and pleasure during his work. It is said about him: “Anyone that trusts them shall be like them that maketh them.”

Seth – KabU InstructorModeratorCsilla,
This is a quote from article 20 in the book of Shamati.
What is happening here is to say that if you work at FedEx all week, you can’t expect that UPS will pay you at the end of the week.
In our context, if we are working all week for the will to receive then we can’t complain to the Creator that He didn’t pay us.
Of course it is a coarse example but it is taking a high concept and bringing it down to us to comprehend. The thing is that if our will to receive agrees to work for the Creator, then we are working because we the will to receive knows he will be paid for the work, so he gives us energy to pursue our spiritual goal. In this case we would never be able to exit the boundaries of our ego, since the will to receive would be taking all of the profit from our work.
So we have step by step process where we accustom ourselves to do the spiritual work, at first in order to receive reward for ourselves and slowly slowly under the influence of the light and the environment that increases the importance of the spiritual work, we accustom ourselves to work without reward.
And the benefit of this is that when we are able to receive without reward (which is a special quality that only comes to us from above as a gift from above after many efforts), at that time we can receive endlessly since our receiving is not in order to fill our own pockets or our own belly, our vessel becomes limitless so then we can receive without limit.

Seth – KabU InstructorModeratorFredrick,
Let’s say for now, the answer is yes.
I am giving that answer because as you continue your spiritual journey and ask that same question in one year after you have been through many states and many discernments you will feel the question and the answer in new ways.
Good luck and keep rising!

WALTERParticipantQuestion/Issue: I live in Western Colorado. I’m 250 miles from a Kabbalah Organization which is in the Denver area. There’s one synagogue here where I live and they are Sodomites, so that’s out of the question.
So, what should I do about finding other Kabbalists to study with in a group of 10 or just even one other “bag of bones”, like myself, to study with? Zohar tells me HaShem will provide me a teacher/help and I believe it. Please give me instructions on how to proceed.

Seth – KabU InstructorModeratorWalter,
We thought about all of this…over 30 years. You are now part of a group that is studying together across over 60 countries with translations and simultaneous lessons, etc. We built a virtual platform where we all meet daily to study and talk and then we all have a group of 10 that we can meet with virtually or physically depending on where we live. You are in the preparation of the preparation now. Build your foundation strong here. After that you will have the opportunity to join live virtual classes and after that other opportunities.
The KabU community will have a weekend retreat with lessons, meals, workshops, etc in Europe in June. There will be some messages about that coming out soon.

GuyParticipantI’m sure this sounds egoistic, but I assure you it is altruistic. I’ve begun a real estate company with my sons, and I fully believe the Lord, that is the creator, bestows wealth upon individuals, in order that they may use that wealth to improve the well-being and lives of others. I fully intend to fund organizations that will accomplish things. I’ve often dreamed of doing for decades, would’ve been unable to do because I am not a wealthy man. These are things like improving the agricultural techniques in poor nations, establishing micro banking, and improving marketing techniques for small business people and establishing co-ops. However, my question is this: when my wife prays, and she very often gets what she prays for, she establishes a timeline for it. Is it egoistic for me to set a timeline like a quarter or a year, or such for success in our business, before I am able to have enough money or funds, in order to help the others accomplished the things I would like to do?

Seth – KabU InstructorModeratorGuy,
You can ask the Creator for whatever you want whenever you want. As we develop just like in our material lives so our desires change, our requests will change. But a true prayer is not the words that come out of our mouths but the desire of our hearts and if we are advancing correctly then these desires are always developing and changing.
Regarding what is egoistic and altruistic, everything is egoistic. If a person behaves altruistically that is because they prefer to behave that way, it makes them feel better or they feel it is more moral or it is preferable but there is no action that can be done on earth that is above human nature (egoistic nature) until we acquire a second nature called the force of Bina, this is an upper force that stands opposite to our ego and then between the ego on one side called Malchut and the force of love and bestowal called Bina on the other side we stand in the middle in a place of free choice.
If the force of ego is too strong we follow the ego if the force of Bina is too strong we are like an angel, neither of them is free. Only the human can develop to stand between the two forces and have a chance to be truly free.

SusanParticipantI’m feeling (or my doubt) is that I cannot achieve Lishma without being part of a goup of ten. Is this true?
- February 25, 2026 at 6:56 am EST #483418
Seth – KabU InstructorModeratorSusan,
You are correct. The degree of Lishma is above our reason so a person needs a place to work where the reason cannot agree and then a person has an opportunity to labor above reason. This happens specifically in the group of 10.

DanParticipantSo should we pray for anything other than to do everything for her name? Because the light of the creator is in all things all the worshipper myself included just wants to be able to perceive it. But if it could be perceived then there wouldn’t be a need for prayer so naturally instead of feeling closeness other feelings come up and those sometimes form thoughts, ideas so should we pray about those things too?
- January 1, 2026 at 8:04 pm EST #473735
Seth – KabU InstructorModeratorDana,
Not quiet. We want to do everything “for Her name”.
And when we attain that at our next degree, then as you said, it will become our new “reason”, it will be attained in the mind.
And then again we will pray to be above that to the next degree.
And then we will attain the next degree in our mind, our new “reason”.
And in this way we will ascend degree by degree.
Seth@KabU- January 2, 2026 at 7:11 pm EST #473797
DanParticipantThank you for clarifying,
How will we know if the movement between levels of attainment is really indicating growth or just norml fluctuation between our connection with the creator and our wanting to do things ‘for the sake of it’?
- January 2, 2026 at 7:47 pm EST #473805
Seth – KabU InstructorModeratorDana,
If you were in Texas you could tell me about what you saw there, smelled there, how to get from Austin to Dallas.
If I was also in the same place, I would know what you mean about this smell and that smell and that sight and the other one. I’d know about those roads connecting the cities.
Similarly, those who attain spirituality can communicate with each other about what they experience there.
How did Moses write about what happened to Abraham so many generations before him? The answer is that when Moses reached a degree called Abraham, he saw and felt everything on the degree of Abraham.
So, as you read the articles of the kabbalists who attained all of these degree, you will recognize your states in what they are writing and you will know that you are advancing correctly.
