If something is hidden, like Kabbalah used to me, no one knew about it except the privileged initiates.  Kabbalah intrigued me because of my fervent persistent search for the meaning and true aspect of existence.  I never knew it was hidden till your video.

An unwrapped gift may be held in a plain cardboard box, which might make it seem like what is inside is mundane, something that can wait to be opened. But if the gift is wrapped with beautiful outside wrappings, with color-coordinated bows, cards, etc., it makes it seem like something of value is inside. With humans, the outside trappings can be deceptive, with the less “sparkly”  person easier to ignore or pass over; whereas the one with a “shiny” personality attracts more attention. Often, it is the quiet and “unseen” people who contain the greatest gifts inside them.

If it really concealed then you are not aware of it!  How can what you are not aware of be attractive?

Every baby likes to play the game, where the parent hides her face and says “Here I am”.

Every child loves to search for hidden christmas/birthday presents.

We all get excited when someone says “I have a surprise for you”.

The fact that Kabbalah was hidden for centuries, makes it even more interesting. We now have the chance to study it, it is revealed. But because it was a mystery earlier, we feel lucky nowadays.

Not knowing what it is would make seeking it purer, causing a person to go faith above reason.

I think concealment is a great way to attract only those who are ready for it. When you’re not ready for the unknown, it scares you off.
