Q: Why is Zeir Anpin divided by six parts instead of the ordinary five? What is the purpose of Yesod?

A: Zeir Anpin has to be in contact with Malchut, in order to convey the Light to her. For that to happen, he must build a special Sefira to serve as a bridge between Malchut and him, meaning that it will possess similar attributes. For that purpose Zeir Anpin consists of:

    Hesed – Keter
    Gevura – Hochma
    Tifferet – Bina
Netzah – Zeir Anpin of Zeir Anpin
Hod – Malchut of Zeir Anpin
Yesod – the sum total of all the previous Sefirot (like a salad made of five original components that when put together, form a new attribute).
After Yesod comes the collective Malchut – the creature, the soul, the part that must unite with the Creator (Zeir Anpin) through equivalence of form. Malchut is the creature and Zeir Anpin is the Creator. Zeir Anpin is the one to which all prayers to be raised and corrected turn, and he, at the request of Malchut (MAN), builds a bond with her – contact and coupling – through his Sefira of Yesod.

    Hello Erica,

The thought of creation was to crate a creature and fill it with unbound delight. In order for this to happen, the Creator had to create a desire to receive the light. This desire went through a breaking and shattered into 600,000 parts and continued breaking until today there are nearly 8 billion pcs

The shattered soul is divided according to the coarseness of desire. If you picture the entire shattered soul in the shape of a pyramid, the courser desires comprise the lower section of the pyramid making up by far the majority of the souls. The tip of the pyramid is small and is where the lighter/purer vessels are located comprising a fraction of the entire soul. These are the ones with the awakened part in the heart, the part called Israel. This part has a very special role of being a pipeline and bringing light down into the entire system. All parts of the system serve a role and are necessary in the attainment of the light. Keter, Hochma, Bina, Zeir Anpin, and Malchut. Accordingly, we reveal within desire five types of the Light: Nefesh, Ruach, Neshama, Haya, and Yechida.

If all the souls were at the top of the pyramid only the light of Nefesh would be revealed. The courser the desire the greater the light.

    Hello Liza,

We must follow the advice of the Kabbalists, mainly Baal HaSulam, Rabash and Rav Laitman. Through the social writings Rabash provides us guidance of how to work properly in the group.

We must connect in a way that will give the friends the feeling that bestowal is great and important.

The thing we lack is the desire to bestow and the only way to get it is from outside oneself, from the environment, the Ten.

We build the environment around our common desire for the goal. Even if we don’t have a true desire yet we must act as if we have it. Our friends are impressed by what you display to them. So, what are we bringing to our ten every day? Are we inspiring them toward the goal?

Rabash “They Helped Every One His Friend” Article No. 4, 1984

“Rather, it is one person who can help another by seeing that one’s friend is low. It is written, “One does not deliver oneself from imprisonment.” Rather, it is one’s friend who can lift his spirit.

This means that one’s friend raises him from his state into a state of liveliness. Then, one begins to reacquire strength and confidence of life and wealth, and he begins as though his goal is now near him.

It turns out that each and every one must be attentive and think how he can help his friend raise his spirit, because in the matter of spirits, anyone can find a needy place in one’s friend that he can fill.”

    Hello Lyndon,

Baal HaSulam is talking about our work on the path before and after the Machsom. Questions are constantly awakening from the spiritual reshimot of the shattered soul. We have to guard ourselves with the help of the group so we don’t leave the path. We don’t want questions to go away, we need them in order to advance. After the machsom we have a different type of work. The Creator provides us the left and right line so we can build our soul in the middle line

It is all about deficiency, correction and fulfillment.

    Hi Liza,

The whole purpose of being in this environment is to acquire the ability to bestow. One must feel a need, a desire, to reveal the quality of bestowal. This is the only thing we lack, nothing else. We should come to our ten everyday asking how we can connect with one another in the right way for the desire, the need, to bestow to appear in the connection between us. This is the Kli for revealing it.

    Hello Troy,

What is kabbalah? It is all about connection with the Creator through love of others

Part of the process of attaining this is the revelation of the resistance to connect in our current nature, our ego.

This is something that is concealed from us. Kabbalah is the process of revealing, “I have created the evil inclination and I have created the Torah as a spice”

It is not that you are “not wanted”, quite the opposite, you are wanted by the Creator therefore you have been given this opportunity

See the negative feeling for what it is and try to focus more on the tug you are feeling in your heart, that is the creator calling you to make a step above your ego and come closer to Him

“The creator placed your hand on the good fate and said take it” The Creator starts the process for us and then it is up to us to continue. Take a step toward Him like a little child taking a step toward the parent when they let go of his/her hand

    All the best
