    Christian,
Raising dust to be similar to the Creator, that’s a long and complicated process from inanimate to vegetative, to animate to the speaking degree who eventually comes in contact with and becomes similar to the Creator (in his qualities).
Along the way there are a lot of things that happen, the Earth was once a ball of fire, then a ball of ice.  Eventually there was a person who had feelings and he goes through many tumultuous experiences.  All in all, the Creator does not change, but the experience of the person changes and all of these names are from the perspective of the Creature.
You may be called Dad, or son or boss or friend, but it’s all Christian.

    Ed,
It’s something else.  It’s something that is impossible.
We can’t do it by might or force, although we have to try.
From trying and trying and investing so much and learning about ourselves and the system we are in, we come to truly need it, not as a luxury, but as a necessity and when we reach that true desire, then the Creator gives us what is called our second nature, just as He gave us our will to receive, now He gives us our will to bestow.

    Zied,
In the wisdom of kabbalah, there is not a slogan or a one line of instructions to put in my pocket and if I just do that, like a magic pill, everything will be fixed.
This method requires a person to go through a process of inner transformation.
In order to go through that process, we need to be influenced by the right influences.
For example, if one hears the news on TV in the morning, these thoughts and stories will stay with him all day and work on his thoughts and emotions.  Sometimes we also notice that some song that we haven’t heard in 10 years is playing in our head.
So we want the influence of the Zohar to work on us as we go about our day.
Regarding doubts, etc. we need to work with them.  We have a mind after all and we don’t advance by blind faith.  So scrutinize the doubts and then decide based on your goal are you ready to go according to your mind built of your past or can you hold the hand of the one who is in front of you and take one step with him.
    Repeat 🙂

    Shaun,
For example, when you were 5 you didn’t notice Susie in the classroom, but then when you were 10 all of a sudden, some new feeling arises in you, it’s platonic, but some kind of young love thing awakens in us at some point, totally disconnected from sex, but we have some special feeling for someone.
In a similar and very natural way, something new develops in us that before we didn’t feel, didn’t understand.

    Yvonne,
The five senses are not a barrier, they are what we have to perceive this world, however they are incapable of perceiving the spirtual world.  There are surgeries where a blind person can regain their vision and then see whereas before they could not see.
So there are also spiritual “operations” that we perform over time with many inner efforts to transform ourselves and we acquire new feelings on the degrees of Keter, Hochman, Bina, Z”A and Malchut, these are 5 spiritual qualities that correspond to our five material qualities.
