I am currently rereading Awakening to Kabbalah and on page 85 in the section How to study correctly, it talks about kabbalistic prayers. I was wondering, where can I find those kabbalistic prayers that they are referring to?
For a true Kabbalistic prayer, I have to already be a Kabbalist 🙂
But here’s one to start with. At least it shows a person the kind of desires that should come from within.

Are the books of the Ari translated into English? I have read his poem part one, but cannot find anything else in English.
Currently I am donating 6% of my income to general donation because it is short of the 10% maaser. Should I be donating to maaser instead of general? Of course ideally getting to 10% will eliminate this whole question but until then?
Good Morning! I have a question about word choices in the statement “Love covers all Crimes.” I take it that the Kabbalists use specific words for specific reasons. The word “Crimes” in English is rather strong and draws a punishment. I am not sure how nuanced the original language this is written in, but in other areas, the phrase “bad deeds” is used. So you get where I’m coming from, the ancient Greeks had 7 nuanced words for Love: Agape (Unconditional), Eros (Sexual), Philia (Friendship), Storge (Between a parent and child), Philautia (Self-Love –The type of Love we are battling), and Xenia (Hospitality, Generosity or Reciprocity). Was there a specific reason why the Kabbalists used the word “Crimes”?
It’s because if I receive into my ego when I could have instead added to the connection, it’s a crime, and like the criminal believes he is likely to avoid punishment, I’m working against an all-seeing Upper Law.
As a “Young” person, we’re not supposed to do much in the way of dissemination. We’re told to give someone a book, but not given any direction as to which book. Is there a recommendation I’m missing? I’d like to give something or some explanation to my wife as to why I disappear for an hour and a half at a time…. I don’t know how to succinctly communicate.

One’s spouse is the exception. We can explain what we”re doing, without suggesting that they need to do it too. If they’re interested, you can explain further.
