ParticipantWhich version of the Zohar should I be reading from? The Kabbalah center translation, the pritzker translation, or the Kabbalah.info translation. Please let me know, thanks. Also is there an English translation of The Study of the Ten Sefirot?

Joseph – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Kevin,
A person who wishes to open the book of Zohar need not worry about what section they are reading. What matters is the intention while reading. Meaning, how I want to draw the reforming light to change my nature to be similar to the upper force, which is the quality of bestowal.
The first chapter of TES is translated and can be found in the book “Kabbalah For The Student.”

David ManciniParticipantHow can one know for sure if they have a revealed point in the heart?
- May 10, 2022 at 1:54 pm EDT #288669

ParticipantIs this about you, or somebody else? If it is about you and this is a burning question (desire) in your heart, ask, inside, that’s your heart’s prayer, and He, who is Faithful will answer. 100%. However. Will you ‘hear’ the answer? Do you know His/Her ‘voice’? If you don’t, assume you do and take the bull by the horns and tell it what to do: demand the Creator to ignite the point in your heart. You cannot fail. Failure is not an option, we all are going home together. The effort you dedicate to the spiritual path (path of light) prevents the natural course of events, “nature’s corrections” that work through suffering and pain.

Joseph – KabU InstructorModeratorHi David,
The fact that you were brought to this wisdom and are asking this question is a sign that your point in the heart has been awakened. But this is only a sign. A person cannot really know for sure as we are talking about the quality of one’s intentions, and this is mostly hidden from a person.

ParticipantHi David, it’s nice to meet you! This was a subject that I just heard about in the Reveal Kabbalahs Secrets guide. From what was explained the point in the heart refers to the simple desire for spiritual attainment. Since you are here it must be a sign that that point has already been activated in your heart. Im really new to this so if someone has anything more to add please do. Good luck!

ParticipantOnly the ‘Holy Spirit’ (new to kabbalah too, I don’t know the equivalent in kabbalah, I imagine is ‘Keter’) can correctly read a heart and reveal the true heart’s desire. Why, when, to whom, for what purpose would He/She reveal this? Most often He/She tells me: Antonina you have judged, and this judgement is incorrect. Then, we start my correction and the subject of my judgement falls by the wayside (the correct one is not revealed).
Many persons study kabbalah for other reasons like: improving their material lives, solving problems. The most prominent recently is ‘knowledge’ and you’ll meet ‘PhDs’ in kabbalah who have not been transformed by their knowledge.

mrc sParticipantIf a person is working lo lishma is it means that he works for himself and not for the creator..?
- May 2, 2022 at 10:54 pm EDT #287889
Chris – KabU InstructorModerator<p style=”text-align: left;”>Yes but directed at achieving Lishma. Lo Lishma is not the same as a person on the street working for their own ego.

- May 2, 2022 at 10:47 pm EDT #287885
mrc sParticipantIs it like a person who works in others company/business (using the tools of the company (others)) giving benefit to both but still working for oneself..? Or like owning/running he’s own business/company..? thx

mrc sParticipantIs a person should feel grateful if they’re just in the stage of lo lishma..?
- May 2, 2022 at 10:50 pm EDT #287886
Chris – KabU InstructorModerator<p style=”text-align: right;”>You receive every moment perfectly tailored to your degree, to bring you closer to the goal. So every step is from Him, and if you recognize this then this is certainly something to be grateful for.

mrc sParticipantIs the vessel of bestowal: the need/desire to bestow..?
- May 10, 2022 at 2:09 pm EDT #288674
Antonina
ParticipantThe “receiving” of the egoistic type always takes, diminishes the giver or a brother somehow. The Creator only “gives” (benefits all, increases all) never “takes” (diminishes anyone). The “Bestowal” is a state of being. By transforming our receiving for egoistic purpose to receiving to “please the Creator”, we invert out sate of being an egoist into a state of being an altruist (one who bestows).
- May 2, 2022 at 9:45 pm EDT #287876
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorIt would be more accurate to say the will to receive is the need and the vessel to bestow is the ability.
But that’s also not completely accurate since the desire to bestow is a desire, and it’s all done with the will to relieve – the question is how you use it.

David JParticipantYesterday I listened to a Hebrew reading of the Zohar. I know nothing about the language. During the reading I began to feel/sense a very strong radiance that went completely throughout me. It was wonderful and a bit frightening. The fear diminished but the sensation lingers.
Now my ego is trying to corrupt the pleasure. Will the ego stop telling me it was hypnosis or imagination?
- May 2, 2022 at 3:17 pm EDT #287851
Joseph – KabU InstructorModeratorHi David,
The ego will always corrupt our pleasure. This is why we must learn to receive pleasures of bestowal. By acquiring the nature of bestowal, there is no limit to the pleasures I can receive.
