Is Kabalah a revelation from G.d to man, in a similar way to the 10 commandments? If so when and how did that take place? If not divinely inspired, then where did the knowledge of 125 steps etc come from? How is it proved in the way we can prove the earth orbits the sun and not the other way round? Where is the science to prove that 125 steps actually does exist or is it just a believe system, in a similar way to some cultures explain the world as a ball carried on the back of a turtle?

Go from week to week. Try on what you are learning. See if it is true for you. Don’t believe anything, but from week to week make serious efforts in the material, work with it, rewrite it for yourself in a clear way as if you were going to one day teach it. Advance like this from week to week. Keep good notes, write down all of your questions. Go back to them after a month and after another month and see how things start to come into focus.
We are here to give you tools to discover all of this yourself.

That is what we are here to learn.
First things first we need to understand who we are (100% will to receive), and if we are going to change, we need to not only understand, but to feel it and not only to feel it, but to start to feel how opposite we are from the Creator (100% bestowal) and how much we feel that we will never achieve equivalence with Him from our own powers since we cannot lift a finger unless we feel we will receive some reward, even just to feel better than I did before I moved the finger. So we require new feelings, we need to feel the greatness of the Creator so that we have power to go after Him.
We will learn all of this. Step by step so that you acquire it with your own hands.

I am looking for a step-by-step method to transform my egoistical desires into altruistic ones.
Instructors always seem to dodge that question. Is there a reason for that, and if yes, why?
So far, here is what I pieced together from a couple of your videos:
1. Desire to receive pleasure surfaces (e.g. I want to smoke a cigarette)
2. What do I hope to get out of this? (e.g. I want to smoke a cigarette to feel better / I want to feel that it is O.K. to be dependent on something)
3. Notice that the desire is egoistical because it does not include the joy of others.
4. Add an altruistic intention on top of my egoistical desire (e.g. I want to feel that it is O.K. to be dependent on something because then I can make others feel valued, even if they have an addiction)If that step-by-step process is correct, then why do you not say it that directly and clearly?
Does this step-by-step process bring you all the way up through the 125 steps or does it fall apart rather quickly? Instead of following a logical step-by-step process, would it be better to read as many Kabbalistic books as possible (as slowly and as deeply as possible) and let this knowledge change me automatically? Or maybe both?
Why do you require a minimum of 10 weeks of preparation until the course “Kabbalah in Action” instead of letting people go through it at their own pace?
Is there a way that I can learn Kabbalah faster without the need to wait for the course to continue or is it necessary (for example, so the insights have time to sink in)?

You know how long it took for matter to develop until it became a plant and until it organized through heat and ice pressure and time until animals walked on Earth. And how many hundreds of thousands of years until we changed from monkeys to humans. And the change from animal to spiritual man is the next jump: Inanimate -> Vegetative -> Animal -> Speaking (spiritual man)
And there are intermediate stages between each of those four. We are in the intermediate stage between animal and speaking.
You can read all of the material 24 hours a day and nevertheless, these things need to live in you. If bestowal were revealed to you now, it would feel like death, it is opposite from us and our egos would feel so repulsed from it, they would run for their lives, so the light works on us methodically.
I cannot stress enough how important it is to work with the materials you are given from week to week.
You want to build a big house and you want to rush through the building the foundation and installing the plumbing, you want to go right to putting the furniture in and moving in.
Build the foundation, you will see how much everything that comes later is built on this.
Your list is good. You know what Einstein said about relativity, a minute sitting on a stove feels like an hour and a minute sitting with a pretty woman feels like a second (something like that). So relativity is clear, right? Well, sort of. If you went into the classroom with Einstein and started to learn about relativity, so that it lives inside of you, you would see how many nuances and flavors and understandings are in there until the whole world that you perceive starts to take on a new form.
Seth@KabUWhen I posted this question, I felt unprecedented impatience. Something inside me is HUNGRY. This hunger has pushed me to also enter the course “Enter the Zohar” which has put my heart at ease.
Do you have suggesstions on how to deal with this impatience or an explanation as to why it appeared so intensely in the first place?

If you didn’t have this feeling, where would you be?
That is hunger, that is desire, that is what draws us, calls us out of the depth of the mire.
Imagine that the Zohar and the wisdom of kabbalah, the treasure for all humanity to receive all the abundance the Creator has prepared for everyone is sitting there on the table, warm, tasty, ready and we are all crawling around like pigs and dogs on the floor taking pleasure in things we already determined are worthless.
But somehow we get a new hunger to stand up and come to the feast. This happened to all of us here.
Without this hunger we wouldn’t even know that there is such a thing as the feast set before us.
The more hungry we are, the more we will enjoy the meal.

You can open up the Bible and read about them, you can open up The Study of the Ten Sefirot and read them.
But that would be like opening up the manual to a rocket ship. The words are in front of me, but that’s about all.
We are learning here to change our inner perception of the world and then we discover where these are inside of us. There was a dark room and a light shines 1% and I see something I can correct. Then the light shines and I can see 2% and see what I can correct, but there is no reason to even speak like this now, as it is way ahead of us. First we need to orient ourselves. Who are we, where are we, what forces are working on us?
But you will start to study the wisdom of kabbalah and then you will understand everything. “In the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” and you will understand this is the force of bestowal (+) and the force of reception (-).

Hi & thank you for taking questions.
If Kabbalists don’t discuss their attainments, how do we know this is not all a product of human imagination? Forgive the crude comparison – but look at scientology for example. That is a system that has people ascend through levels to attain otherwise-secret knowledge at each one that they can’t discuss with anyone. Yet ex-scientologists have come out and said it’s all nonsense.
Cults around the world use the same tactic & it works because people who are seeking meaning in their life are vulnerable. Any system that has people ascend through levels to gain otherwise-secret knowledge which they can’t talk about (and is therefore non-verifiable) is a common pattern throughout human history. How do you know Kabbalah is any different?
If Kabbalah was truly a science and not a belief pattern, then why can’t anything about the upper levels be discussed? (The answer that discussing attainment will induce envy in others and cause you to lose the attainment is consistent with a belief system and not a science).

I think there’s some misunderstanding here. We discuss everything that we’re learning about. We even have workshops between us to discuss these things, reflection forums, etc. But we don’t share our personal revelations (for the reasons I talked about in a previous post below).
Furthermore, even if a person would reveal his personal revelations, it would not be a verification of anything. Just picture that a person comes up to me and says “Hey, I’ve studied Kabbalah and reached the 25th spiritual degree from it”. Is that proof that this system works? No, I would simply be accepting his words on faith, like any other blind belief. Verification means that I experience what we’re learning about from the Kabbalists on myself.
The Kabbalists are the scientists of Kabbalah. Everything we know is based on their research. This is similar to how other sciences work. The Kabbalists are those researchers that have performed a certain experiment and reached a certain result: the correction of our nature, the revelation of the Creator, the force of bestowal, etc. So if we are to replicate their experiment, to follow their procedures we should reach the same results.
But if a person is not yet on the degree of a Kabbalist, how does he relate to everything he’s learning? Like to any other science. For example, when I read a physics textbook, I see different formulas and experiments that research our reality. If I’m reading this textbook in 8th grade, then I have no choice but to accept the things written there since they come from a credible source. If I’m reading this textbook in college, I’m already given some tools with which I can measure and verify some of these things for myself. And yet there are some concepts that are so advanced, that I have no way to verify them until I become a physicist myself and get access to all the tools that will help me research these things.
Same with us here. There are some things I can verify for myself even when I’m just starting in the fundamentals of this wisdom, and then there are things that I can verify only when I myself have reached spiritual attainment.
