The mere fact of something that exists but is concealed arises curiosity and a desire to know it.

when something is concealed, it takes effort to reveal. increased effort requires a greater desire before action will be taken. greater desire provides greater pleasure.

When we know something is hidden it has an allure and attracts. We don’t know what we don’t know and therefore it does not attract.
