There is an external self that is influencing the so-called internal self. And there is a Creator who observes it from outside the body?

Our free will is in the choice of environment, that way we can change which way external factors influence us.

Free will is ability to sense and thus act outside the influence of our Egoism. When under control of Egoism, we just have an illusion of free will.

With all that has been given to us, or that we have been deprived from, we have lots of predetermiend factors – based on our ancestral genes, upbringing, childhood environment. And all this may already predetermine how we feel or think about things. Yet, we have the chance, the free will, to make a decision to move on, once we understand we can. And we can decide to want to grow, and search for an environment that can help us to grow – books , friends, teachers.

Our free will exist in terms of which direction in life you want to go to. The light or the dark. Left or right. Self-fish or care for others. This is the only free choice we get. Everything we choose has its own consequence which brings the free will into question. Everything has a cause and effect. We choose to seek reality, seek life through the creator or deny the creator which brings upon delusion’s and life becomes a dream.

I chose my environment. I chose studying Kabbalah instead of watching Netflix. But many times I get confused thinking that I can control what is happening around me. Hopefully I can get to the right perception
