So to translate it to how it would look in our lives, this process would look like some one who, no matter what they did, simply could not find fulfillment in anything they do, and cries out to the Creator for help, realizing they are powerless to find wholeness on their own?

When you say “over many, many states that would be thrown at the person”, that means this person would be constantly tossed by the waves sent by the Creator, and that entire process is for the person to realize it is not up them whether they sink or swim, that everything is up to the Creator?

So in the case of some one that has already been beaten down, the beginning of the work is the realization that their suffering isn’t even about them, its about the “exile” and detachment from the Creator, and rectifying it for His sake instead of our own?

Yes, of course simply learning or knowing about these concepts isn’t enough. But surely some people can reach that point before ever coming across Kabbalah – they simply feel a deep existential Shame regarding receiving for themselves, or engaging with any of their desires.

That’s why I asked if the 4 Phases also map out to our experience of relating to Desire, because it seems like that person can end up in a state similar to Behina Bet where they close themselves off as much as possible from desire to simply stop feeling that shame.

I’m asking this because all these concepts seem to be happening in the Upper Worlds, and I’m not sure exactly how it relates work “down here”. Say you’ve already begun to feel that Shame, is the work now to begin engaging with those desires with a corrected intention?

I ask because Shame seems to the driving force in the 4 Phases and in Malchut, but do we also pass through the same stages as the Light does in each Behinah? For example, can some one experience shame in the same way as Behinah Bet where they have a sort of existential shame around receiving or being a receiver in general?

Hey Gianni, I just started studying Pticha and wanted to revisit a question I asked in the beginner’s forum:

Do the 4 phases of Light also reflect in the path of the individual and their desires? Or do we start this world already in the final phase, where correction begins? Or is it both?

When do we start learning about the 4/5 worlds and other deeper Kabbalistic ideas?

Do the 4 phases of Light from Keter to Malchut also reflect in the path of the individual and their desires?
