Sorry, I’m not sure what you’re referring to…
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorIt’s only felt as “labor” to the ego – the will to receive for the self.
“Servant of the Creator” is not “worker” or “employee”.
Yet, like with the example of the Host and the guest, the intention to do good to one another is then common – they are in adhesion – and this is where the creature can finally use its will to receive, its desire to receive pleasure correctly and gain access to higher and higher levels of “acquiring” more of that force, becoming more and more similar to it. The ultimate fulfillment.
The source texts from the Kabbalists, actually the entire engagement, the whole “study” is what the will to receive perceives, what it feels as a result of interacting with the light. So the only state you write about is the state of the will to receive, rather with an intention to bestow – at varying degrees. Therefore, words like “servant” and “labor” are correct but the “effort” is not in tolerating pain or suffering, rather the calculation itself is inverted and “pain” and “suffering” are in relation to not being able to do good to Him as He does to us – this is our worry and our concern. The words are words that are associated with phenomena within the will to receive, yes but described in relation to work in bestowal.
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorResting – His action/intention is only one – “to do good to the created beings”.
Within that plan, that includes an entire system of bringing the created being which was shattered back to one whole through the conscious and willing broken pieces to decide for themselves that they want to serve the Creator and not themselves.
“I the Lord do not change” as well as “to do good to His created beings” seems to indicate a contradiction, however the experience within the vessel of the will to receive will always be felt as “moving” and “growing” since the constant changes provide this sensation. These changes are only felt in the “receiver” and no changes are in the “giver” even though the action/reaction relationship makes it feel mutually dynamic.
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorThere are no flaws, only “roles” to play. If I see some corruption or flaw, it’s an indication that there are still corrections to be made within me. It’s like shining a light in a dark room to find the filth. If there’s no indication of filth, there’s nothing to clean. But you first have to find something to clean before you can clean.
Chris – KabU InstructorModerator“You can’t buy desire at the pharmacy.”
This is the “hidden wisdom”, because only those with a desire are able to hear what it says.
Someone who feels that there is something hidden there and they feel the need to see what’s hidden, they stay and study.
Those who have no interest – no need to inquire – then there’s nothing for someone to come do or say to the uninquisitive one since they simply will not hear what they say. There’s no desire there and therefore no perception of the small thread that’s there for us to grab onto while we begin the development of that small spark.
When a person is ready, they’re ready. Our job is just to make sure there is enough supply for those who are looking. They need to be able to find what they’re looking for. More than that, it’s up to them to decide to start the path or not.
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorThat’s actually a really deep question and it’s not that simple but you could say something like that, yeah just not exactly. You will always interpret any concept of bestowal still, within the “box” of self-interest. You can’t escape it. You won’t be able to, in this logical brain that serves the ego, you won’t be able to have a thought that is somehow connected to actually bestowing, making an action in the direction of doing good to others without anything coming back to me in any way.
I’d also add, that doing good to others basically is just relating to them as the Creator relates to us. It’s not that we’re really doing anything anyways, we’re ultimately just removing any obstruction from the Creator having absolute authority, relating every thought, desire, action, and intention to Him which is our only way to exist in this reality without causing harm to others which we actually now know are ourselves. This is the state Kabbalists call “adhesion” and there are many degrees of this state, each time occurring on a prior opposite state from which you built its corresponding state in complete bestowal. The example of the host and the guest.
This is where we actually have freedom of choice, and certainly this is what we want for others, for the rest of our soul to connect back to and by this we are returning all the broken pieces of our soul back to one with the force that created the “one”.
