Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorIf you received pleasure in a vessel at one point, this then decreases the yearning and therefore the pleasure felt.
If you are always growing your desire, the potential pleasure is also greater.
However, this is the wisdom of Kabbalah – reception – The Wisdom of Reception, meaning how to receive. We will not be receiving pleasure as we do in our current perception, this is pleasure “in order to receive”, the pleasure of “in order to bestow” comes from a different place entirely and the yearning to bestow, the desire to bestow, is also pleasurable. Just like in our world, when you are in love, you enjoy thinking about the other. You’re enjoying from your desire for them. Just another example, even though it’s still egoistic.
Thanks!
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Abdurrahman,
It’s a good question, but it’s not something we bring up or mention. There are a couple of reasons for that, but the main one is that it hinders a person’s ability to do the easier inner work toward those who appear outside themselves. To you, you should bring yourself to the level where you see everyone is at a higher level than you, in greater adhesion with the Creator, bestowing to Him more and you, you are far behind and outside the connection they have.
Of course, that means lowering yourself to see those higher. If you accept them as “higher” already, then you essentially ruin the work to lower yourself, work against your nature, and these efforts are the ones that draw the light and bring you closer to the world of bestowal.
Essentially, it doesn’t matter where anyone is, and we should keep it to ourselves so as not to harm others on the path. The goal is to be drawn after the greatness of others who naturally seem lower than yourself, less capable, less feeling, etc. Your work is to raise them in your eyes – “above reason” make them great.
Best of luck,
Chris
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorHi mrc,
In relation to all of these technical questions, my advice would be to write them down in one place and return to them later after you’ve studied a bit more.
I will say, “creation” if you’re referring to the “created being” is only considered the soul of Adam HaRishon.
The Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah would be something I’d recommend you to be comfortable with if this is the direction your heart is drawn to.
Thanks!
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorI’m also unfamiliar with that concept. If you could point me to the Kabbalistic source I could help, but if it is not related then I’m afraid I have nothing to say.
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorHey mrc,
It’s hard not being in control, and being “in the know”, but just like children growing up who have no idea in what direction they’re developing and towards what, we too are in the dark. That certainly accompanies other thoughts and doubts and questions. Yes, but now you have Kelim, sensing vessels that are a foundation for answers to such questions and thoughts when you’ve prepared them fully.
Thanks!
Chris
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorHi humehr,
I wouldn’t exactly be able to tell you why…but in general, if the body (body also meaning ‘ego’) then it finds no livelihood in such actions –Â the “what for?” may not be clearly defined and if it is, there is no reward and so the body would find no interest.
That could be the case, that you’re touching on such inner points, inner rejection to the path that leads to love of others, that the body, the ego feels rejection to something it is naturally opposite to and against. This would be a good sign that you’re being shown your true nature.
If you are not aimed towards adhesion with the upper force through your attitude towards others, then it’s probably related to the initial explanation in my first sentence.
Thanks!
