Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorIt sounds like you’re referring to Satan as some entity…This is now how Kabbalah relates to the term.
As you know, Kabbalah deals with just two forces that exist in reality–reception and bestowal–and there are many names for how these two forces interact.
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorHey mrc,
I’m not sure what you’re referring to here…
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorI’m not familiar with this expression.
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorNo. Humanity, creation is one.
Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorThat’s written beautifully in the Tree of Life poem by the ARI.

Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorThe Creator is what gives, this quality of bestowal. Creation itself is within Him and we feel ourselves as a result of Him removing Himself, concealing Himself and we would see light and dark not as the same. Our disconnection from perfection allows us to make the distinction in qualities–in reception and in bestowal–He created the evil inclination, His opposite form–but without an opposite, there’s no taste in contrast. You would have to ask then if there was no evil inclination, could one say the Creator exists at all?
