Gianni – KabU InstructorModeratorThat’s all you need to do, Naomi: decide together that you must reach the goal. Try to show the friends that this is what you want, and by your example, you’ll help them want it too.

Gianni – KabU InstructorModeratorYour desire is understandable. You found the way to discover the secret of life, the way to know why everything is happening to you and to others, to be a partner with the Creator, learn all His secrets, and become His beloved one. It’s more important than going to Harvard, finding true love, becoming rich, and anything else we might want for our kids – and though it’s hard to understand how, it includes and swallows all those wonderful things.
However, if you want your kids to have a chance at this, you should only pass it on to them through your example – what it causes you to become, especially internally. They will feel this internally. And in no other way. Everything else in life that is good, you can somehow coerce your kids to do. Say, you can send them to SAT prep camps instead of having fun every summer, and maybe they’ll appreciate it when they become doctors or whatever. Not so with Kabbalah. If they could reach spirituality by force, of course they’d discover that it was worth more than anything else they were doing or dreaming of doing – it’s just that they will never reach it by force nor by encouragement. You yourself came here not because someone presented you with good selling points, but because of the deficiency formed through your long, long search. It would not be the same if you got it earlier, when you were a kid, for example. Because you need a VERY strong desire to reach spirituality. Your kids haven’t had the time to form this deficiency. If they learn Kabbalah before they have a deficiency, it’ll specifically bias them against Kabbalah, lengthening the time needed to correct their souls. It’s enough that they hear that mom studies Kabbalah. Then, if their Points in the Heart are revealed in this lifetime, they will know where the answers are. In the meantime, if they have questions, you can answer, but very gently, not too much, not expanding beyond the scope of their question. Again, the most powerful and correct teaching you can give them is the internal transmission they will receive by you seriously correcting your own soul – as you suggested, they are deeply internally connected to you and what goes through you will go through them, but in a way that they will still have free choice.

Gianni – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Julia, sorry for the delay. Everything happens in an orderly evolution, but we don’t discuss every detail here. This is a broad overview. And that’s the correct way to learn: first a bird’s eye view, then zooming into further details.
Generally, the same logic by which Bina decides to receive just a bit, applies to receiving the whole lot. The Upper Light only wants her to receive. She also wants this. If she doesn’t receive, He’s not happy, she’s not happy. So, she decides to receive all the Light. Problem is, you are not the same desire after the Light has made an impression, departed, and returned. Let me give you cigarettes at times of my choosing. Even if you currnetly find them disgusting, I can get you to a state where you think of nothing else. The first one, you’ll want to almost throw up. The fifth cigarette, you’ll feel you sort of like it but could give it up, no problem. You can say that Bina is like that, when there’s still a bit of the nicotine circulating in your blood somewhere. You think you’ll be fine without it. Once it’s completely gone, you have receptors in your brain that are waiting specifically to be filled by the nicotine. You’re already a fiend, and don’t yet know it. Similarly here, when Malchut receives all the Light she had in Phase 1, it’s not the same Light. It’s immeasurably more powerful. Like you’re no longer the same person who despises cigarettes, or the person who likes them but could totally give them up, Malchut is not the same desire that was able to make various seemingly altruistic calculations.
Gianni – KabU InstructorModeratorThat’s a very healthy corporeal attitude. That’s why you’re correct in your instincts about envy. However, envy works. It’s built into our nature – no matter what tactics we devise to avoid it. You should continue your way – corporeally. Don’t throw it away. But add to it that “envy, lust and honor bring a person out of this world.” That is: only these three bring a person to the Upper World. How kind was the Creator to give us this tool. You must learn the corrected form of envy, envying only friends in the spiritual group and no one else. This is one’s only hope to reach spirituality!

Gianni – KabU InstructorModeratorErin, I’m sorry this took so long. You’re thinking is partly correct but your conclusions aren’t, and it’s not your fault. We can’t understand by deduction. Everything has a precise root in the 4 phases that f Direct Light, and you’re right that besides expressing them in the language of Kabbalah, we could express them in 3 other languages, one of which is the language of the Bible. It’s the same 4 phases of direct Light, like how I don’t change by my wife calling me Gianni, my daughter calling me dad, my students calling me teacher. All point at the same phenomenon: this cluster of forces called Gianni. However to find out exactly how these languages correlate you must attain their roots in the world of Atzilut.
