ParticipantI really appreciate this thoughtful answer. about studying, I am in the middle of Kabbalah reviewed 2 and I also started this course. I also bought the books set for Zohar and revealed 2 books. there are many other courses under VOD. I can’t study and absorb everything over time, do you have any recommendation on the orders of the courses and books I should go through?
thanks

Participantthat article helps a lot, thank you! see if I understand this correctly
we do have two souls. one animal soul, which is with us since we were born and till we die. where did this soul come from and what will it go? what is it part of? is this the scattered Adam Ha Rishon?
we are trying to develop a spiritual soul, and this will be developed via learning Kabbalah. I assume i have “the point in the heart” otherwise I wouldn’t be here for 6 month now, how do I know if I have develop the soul yet and where I am at in the progress?
speaking of light, I have heard quite a few versions of definition, one video I watched, it was stated that the light is “pleasure”, it was also called the force of the creator, in the above article it sounds like the light is the soul? I just watched this video, light is the influence of creator over the creature. I guess all above are correct, but from different angles? can you explain more on the spiritual soul and it’s relation to the light?
I also learned that each person will need to be corrected and ascend back, is it fair to say whoever lives in the current era mostly are the old souls who didn’t achieve the correction yet?thank you as always for your help

Participantunderstand all those concepts you mentioned. but we are created by the creator, by default we can NOT be the same as the creator, correct? as the creator is perfect, we can try to be like him, but are we capable of becoming him? if we become him, are we Him?

ParticipantHi Seth,
so many questions, hope you don’t mind.
in one of the video the instructor said “we don’t even have a soul yet”, I read more online and it sounds like some say that we have 2 souls, one animal soul called Nefesh Habehamit, the soul we want to develop is called Nefesh Elokit. what’s Kabbalah’ view on this? what’s “point in heart” in relation to either soul? if you have links to any articles or videos to explain more, highly appreciated.
thanks

ParticipantHi Seth
We are creatures, we are limited. how can we be equivalent to the creator even if we have desires to be like the creator, even after we have the knowledge of Kabbalah, understand how and why we were created and how to ascend back, but after all we are still creature and limited, correct? I can see receiving from the creator with the intention to bestow, but I do not see that we have the capability to bestow to our fellow human beings like the creator because we are limited.
I hope that you can clear the clouds in my head. thanks!
