(I thought that the homework was just for part 2. I’ll post what I have and re-read part 1 and add more later if I see something I’d like to add).

As individuals, to achieve our goal, the purpose of our creation, we must choose to join a group of people with the same mindset to reach the goal of creation. We cannot reach our goal alone.

An individual must internally, reach outside himself and see all the rest as more important, turn his wants and needs inside out, to be more concerned for the others in the group than for himself. Without this internal action the goal cannot be achieved.

What I get from having an “uninvited guest” this is my perspective. If a person’s ‘point in the heart’ isn’t ready to hear the seriousness of the goal of creation, we must honor his point of view over ours. To confuse or repel this person could be interfering with the Creator’s plan for that person’s point in the heart. If the other person, the uninvited guest, asks questions, it’s important to keep any response simple, at the level of the uninvited guest’s understanding.

The article speaks of the beginning of spirituality – man is no longer “beasts” but are “men” because the points in the heart have been activated. Man has begun the path to true spirituality. Man is at the point of wanting to achieve the equivalence of form with the Creator. Wanting to “achieve this exalted goal,”   In order to do this, man must first perform “love of others,” (bestowal upon man). The only way to do this is within a group of people with the same goal.

Man is the branches whose origin was the root. This reality has been concealed from man. As man began to sense the disparity of form with the Creator, receiving for the sake of receiving is no longer acceptable. Man feels shame for this state, as in eating “the bread of shame.”

The “fear of God” is a resistance to receiving, a pause. rising above self-love and the need to have human cravings satisfied without knowing why or any thought of from where man is benefited. This fear of God is the reason for creation.

The Creator has left “plentiful Torah and Mitzvot” for man to follow in order to work toward, equivalence of form with the Creator. Rabash speaks of a society within which man can rise above his beast nature and climb the degrees, ‘the ladder’ toward pure spirituality.

Be aware that everything corporeal around us is there due to our nature to receive. At what ever stage of learning kabbalah we’re in, do all we can to make our spiritual world more important, our focus in life. Be grateful for what ever comes into our life to help support our progress. I’m about to go into a TEN. Constantly do what ever you can to null yourself and support your Friends in your TEN.

I’m constantly worried I’m not doing enough. I need to realize that what ever happens is in the Creator’s hands. I can’t do anything to change HIS plan. That the best that I can do in the moment is what I’m suppose to do.

I am Rosie Olson. I’m a member of the Grad community. I want very much to understand all the beautiful words the instructors are saying. I believe that I could contribute more in the community if I understood more of this language. I like the idea of understanding the very root of the Hebrew language. I think it will help me to respect the language even more. Thank you for offering this important course.

When you first realize just how important this study is, how important joining the friends live is, it’s a humbling experience. I’m not far away from that experience. Being new to the Grad Environment, one of the things I appreciate is the patience and kindness shown to someone who is new to list kind of environment.  I’m shy when it comes to public speaking. I have an awful memory of succumbing to an attack of stage fright.  So, just want to say a huge thank you for having an environment where I can truly grow and contribute. I’m sure with practice I will loose my jitters, not focus on myself so much and really melt into this nurturing spiritual environment.

I like the preparation that helps kindle an open and fertile mindset, ready to take on the new lesson and to get our hearts open and ready to join with the friends. I enjoy the music. Sometimes the quotes go by so fast I can’t read through them all. Would like more time to read them.

Sometimes I think the instructors try to squeeze things into the lesson and I get a sense of that pressure, and I miss some of the concepts being discussed. So, I’m very happy with the replays. Thank you.

so happy to be able to meet in real time with so many loving sincere faces.

I think this was one of my first ‘tough learns’ so far. Lots of prayers are prayed but if they don’t come with the deepest of intentions for the right reasons, they go unanswered. The Creator is always the same and will never change. We need to do the changing of ourselves and for the right reasons. The Creator can not be bribed. I do feel that out of desperation in the past, I have prayed & I had that deep correct intention, and an answer came surprisingly quickly.
