January 24, 2023 at 8:00 pm EST in reply to: How can we ever be satisfied if the pleasure always neutralizes our desire? #310795
Seeker of WisdomParticipantBy bestowal. Receiving pleasure from seeing fulfillment in others. When you do not expect anything in return you can be satisfied and freed from the misuse of desire (by having the desire to see others fulfilled).
Seeker of WisdomParticipantGiving to others without expecting anything in return (which is easier said than done). By becoming more like the Creator we can get closer to the goal by having the will to bestow instead of receiving (and receiving in order to bestow).

January 24, 2023 at 4:59 pm EST in reply to: Where exactly is your free will? Can you identify where it is real and where it is an illusion? #310792
Seeker of WisdomParticipantI have free will in the choice of my environment which in turn influences (Or possibly improves) the other aspects of the work that I do not have any control over. The illusion can creep in when I believe I have influenced the Creator in anyway because He is the Lord and does not change (being that He is the ultimate perfection).
