How can I pray in a way that will get my prayers answered?

I must pray from a position of altruism and with the intent of bestowal and not ask to receive for myself We should not expect for the creator to alter the laws of nature for our benefit

To ensure our prayers are answered in Kabbalah, we must pray with kavanah—deep intention and focus—not just recite words. True prayer is about changing ourselves to feel the Creator’s constant love and seeing all events as good. This inner transformation connects us to the divine, making the prayer effective and answered.

Prayer is connecting the point in the heart with the Creator and receiving the light to correct oneself, from an egoistic perception to a true intention of altruism for the benefit of all mankind. To love others as we would love ourselves.

As I have come to understand the role of prayer, I have to first have an intent. I must prayer for my heart to be able to change so that i can love rather than concern myself with the actions and behavior of anyone else.
