The light wants Us to choose to Seek Equivalence of Form with it.

Because we needed to feel the inverse state of adhesion with the creator first in order to give us the illusion of free choice

Maybe we were born lacking because you have to have a foundation of oppositeness (carnality) firstly, in order to appreciate / identify spirituality.
