AnnaParticipantDear KabU,
I’m starving to learn, understand, feel more about the soul; nefesj, ruach, nesjama. Where can i read, watch, learn deeply about these words?

Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorHey Anna,
Sounds like you’re wanting to delve I to the Pticha – The Preface to the Wisdom of Kabbalah by Baal Hasulam. We also have many related videos on our YT channel kabbalahinfo.
Thanks!

Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorHey mrc,
I’m not following the question. Are you asking about your parent’s beliefs? If so, remember this is what the Creator wants you to see and feel. It’s up to you how you use what He gives you to move closer to Him.

AndreanneParticipantGood morning,
I need your help to clarify the opening and closing intention components of our individual 10 meetings, due to my inexperience.
What should be an opening and closing intention in a 10 meeting?
Should it be an excerpt from one of the Kabbalists we are studying?
Or should it be something I create myself inspired by an excerpt, for example, a prayer I feel & create? Or does the latter refer more to an inner state about the meeting (inner intention)?
Thank you kindly!

Chris – KabU InstructorModeratorHey Adreanne,
I’m not sure if you’re referring to a 10 meeting with the goal to sort out some logistical question or speak about additions or removal of some practices. There are such meetings, but there are other meetings where the goal is to mingle with one another’s desires and find the common intention. I’ll be referring to the latter.
At the beginning, it should be clear to everyone why they are meeting, for what goal, etc. Reading passages that bring everyone closer to that thought is always helpful. Read it a few times, speak about it a bit and then talk engage in the assembly.
Doing the same thing over and over, repeating activities, they all lose their flavor after a while. You need to change it up. So have someone speak and awaken the friends. Find out what moves each friend and try and awaken them in that special way. This is the work. You’ll have to figure it out amongst yourselves and always look to improve the results each time.
Thanks!
Chris

Zealot MinesParticipantHi Gil, I posted a question on today’s Zoom session, but I think you missed it or time was short. A good friend of mine asked me about the serpent in the bible..(Adam & Eve), Was the serpent was deceitful? honestly? I really found it difficult to answer him now that I know it means more than just what we read. I tried to share a link/blog to how Kabbalah depicts it…about the ego.. etc.. He somehow got offended and angry that I am trying to introduce him to other things.. as he wants to answer it as per the scripture..  I found it sad and a pity also almost angry… Why can’t he just get it.. How can you comment on this…? What is scripture..? How deal with such? Thank you.

GilKeymasterHi Zealot,
Thank you for reaching out with your question. It’s an important one, and I understand the complexity and sensitivity surrounding it.
In Kabbalah, every element of the Bible is interpreted as a symbol of internal, spiritual processes rather than external, corporeal events. The story of Adam and Eve, including the serpent, is no exception. To gain a deeper understanding of this narrative and its allegorical meanings, I recommend two specific videos:
- Adam and Eve in Kabbalah – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU3fR48UnQM&t=1s&pp=ygUVYWRhbSBhbmQgZXZlIGthYmJhbGFo – In this video, I delve into the story’s details and explore its allegorical significance.
- The Spiritual Worlds in the Story of Adam and Eve – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vqJ4BvzrHo&t=1s&pp=ygUVYWRhbSBhbmQgZXZlIGthYmJhbGFo Here, Markos, our senior KabU instructor, examines the narrative from the perspective of spiritual worlds and their mechanics.
Regarding your friend’s reaction, it’s essential to recognize that everyone’s readiness and openness to the wisdom of Kabbalah vary. “A person studies only where their heart desires,” as the saying goes. It seems lke your friend is not ready/open/interested in what the wisdom of Kabbalah has to offer – and that is ok.
Thank you again for your question, and I hope these resources offer you further clarity and understanding.
Best regards,
Gil
