Having a conscious choice of chosing what is good for the whole instead of what i want for myself alone.

This is a dilemma for me… for me that means to forget completely about yourself. But it is very difficult, almost impossible to act in this sense. Maybe in this stage of study ?!…

It is a shift from seeing life through personal gain to recognizing a deeper interconnectedness. In a self-centered view, everything is filtered through wants and fears, creating an illusion of separation. Reality feels fragmented, defined by “mine” and “not mine.”

An altruistic perception dissolves this illusion. It is not about forced sacrifice but about expanding awareness beyond the self. The question changes from “What do I want?” to “What is needed?” or “How can I contribute to the benefit of the whole?” without diminishing individuality.

This transformation requires inner attention and practice. It means noticing self-interest, gently redirecting it, or correcting it, asking for the corrective light and being fully present with others. Giving is no longer loss but fulfillment. Influence becomes alignment. The boundary between self and other softens, revealing a more luminous and unified reality.

My ego must die in order for me to be on the path of compassion via connection to others.

To love your neighbour as you love yourself. The true understanding that we are spiritually interconnected should help build this feeling.
