Freedom is the ability to choose. I believe we acquire it, with the help of the reforming light, when we work to connect with others and aim to annul ourselves before them, raising them above ourselves.

We cannot choose what happens outside, and we cannot choose what desires arise inside.  All we can choose is whether to follow our base, animal, egoic desires, or to follow the desire for God, the desire for truth, the desire of the point in the heart.  Our desire will always drive us, whether we resist that or not.  What we can choose is whether we pursue the desire that drives us down the path of pain, or the desire that drives us along the path of Light.

I can chose to live by spiritual principles and values. Or I can choose to live by the dictates of my ego. Those are my choices! If I choose to follow the guidance of the Light I am helped every step of the way. If I chose to live by ego, I am choosing the path of suffering.

Our attitudes, towards the events or situations we are faced with at any given moment, that occur in our lives is “OUR” place of freedom. Focusing always on the creator, knowing everything comes from Him
