Roger FryParticipantI found the subtle shift of desire or of not wanting a change in externality but rather an equivalence of form with the creator.

BenParticipantKnowing that Kabbalah is not a religion is very profound for me.

Leah BergmanParticipantThe creator doesn’t ever change, but it is I who needs to change my perspective. I also liked the video in the related section where the Rav talks about how we need to be in harmony with the forces of nature. I’m still meditating on that video.

ScottParticipantThe light of the Creator is unchanging, even, constant and good. Our egoism is responsible for the negative sensations. I can’t ask the Creator to change something; I have to do the work. Thankfully, He is in charge, no force opposes Him, and He has created everything I need to do this work. This is a wild ride!

DParticipant…a desire is called “a prayer,” “the work in the heart,” since “the Merciful One wants the hearts.”
as our sages said, “One always learns where one’s heart desires.”

John CatonParticipantAs I moved through Part 1 and now, half way through Part 2, I frequently lose sight of the role of “intention” when considering the correction of my ego. Having that reinforced again is probably the most outstanding thing I’ve gained from this lesson, but there are others as well, such as the meaning of prayer and the understanding that I can’t correct my ego without it, meaning self-analysis of my ego.
