  • Hi Malak,

    1. We learn from the Kabbalists that every single moment comes to us directly from the Creator, this is called “there is none else besides Him”. Furthermore, they also say that He is the “good that does good”. Meaning that every moment He is sending us nothing but goodness. Why then don’t we see this in our world? Why don’t we feel everything that is happening as something good?

This is because our world is governed by our egoistic nature. This egoistic nature is opposite to the Creator’s nature. Because of that, it inverts the Creator’s goodness into something bad. It’s just like multiplying numbers, a positive times a negative equals negative.

So as long as we remain within this egoistic nature, we will continue to see and feel more suffering and horrors in the world. But if we correct our nature to be similar to the Creator’s nature, we will reveal the true reality in which only goodness exists and that our previous egoistic state was nothing more than a dream.

    2. The purpose of creation is to raise us to the highest and best possible state, to become similar to the Creator. Why do we need to be created in this opposite, shattered, egoistic state? Because it’s a vital part of our development, without which we would be unable to develop and reach that purpose. It’s just like with kids. We don’t just give them a completed jigsaw puzzle. On the contrary we take it and break it down into many pieces. Then in the process of them putting it together, they grow and develop. Same with us.

    Hi Malak,

Spirituality works according to the law of equivalence of form. Meaning that in order to come into contact or reveal anything spiritual, we need to become similar to whatever we want to reveal. This is just like how a radio can pick up an external wave, when we tune the internal frequency of the radio to that wave.

    Hi Daniel,

    1. Yes, that’s exactly how it happens.

    2. I don’t understand this question, please clarify it.

    Hi Sean,

    1. When we learned about the common soul of Adam HaRishon, we saw that the only thing broken in the entire system of creation are the connections between us. This is the source of all the problems in life and really the only thing we need to fix. So once we integrate back into that system, we would resolve all of our problems.

Keep in mind that this is a gradual process, broken down into 125 steps. Every time we rise one degree, we resolve one set of problems and then reveal another set. And this continues until we are all fully integrated back into this system.

    2. Since all the problems stem from the shattering, the only way to truly fix them is to correct the shattering. On the level of our world, we’re still obligated to go to the doctor and take care of things in the normal way that we do here. But the true solution is only from reconnecting the parts of the shattered soul.

    3. We don’t have the strength to work with our desires directly. It’s ultimately the light that does all the work on us. Our job is only to extract more and more of this force, especially through the Kabbalistic studies, and it does all the rest.

    4. Not directly, but we can help others reach it themselves. Which is why we disseminate the wisdom of Kabbalah and open up courses like those on KabU, to teach the world how to use this method.

    Hi Marouane,

Yes, it’s common to have such feelings. Here are some things to keep in mind to help you stabilize this picture:

    1. The physical world is real until you attain otherwise. If the Kabbalist attained something and wrote about it, this is their attainment, not yours. You cannot just take their attainments as your own. So until you attain otherwise, this world is very much so real.

    2. Even after we attain spirituality, we continue to exist on the level of this world throughout the entire spiritual ladder of development. So we cannot just disconnect from this world and start living in the clouds. Rather we must continue to exist as normal people do: to work, take care of our health, families, etc.

    3. The entire spiritual path is one of correcting our egoistic nature, for it to operate in the direction of bestowal. We don’t lose anything as a result of this correction. On the contrary, we only gain. This is because our current state is the lowest and worst possible state. When we begin to correct ourselves, we’ll gain higher and higher levels of perception and experience exponentially greater levels of fulfillment.

Here’s an excerpt from Rav Laitman’s blog on this:

“In our world, everything is opposite to perfection because one acts at the expense of the other. Our world is the lowest, the worst of the worlds. Only ascent above it is possible. There is nothing worse than this world.”

    Hi John,

    1. Kabbalah is not a religion, it’s a science. Meaning that it’s not limited to people with certain religious beliefs, rather it’s open to everyone.

    2. The fundamental courses are essentially that, the fundamentals of the Wisdom of Kabbalah. These two semesters lay the foundation for all of our spiritual work. They help a person understand what Kabbalah is and what it is not. As well as the basic mechanics of the spiritual world, the laws by which it functions, and how we can come into balance with these laws. As a result of coming into balance with those laws, we reveal spirituality in practice, in our lives. In other words, it’s not enough to just intellectually read about spirituality in the scriptures, or to study the language of branches, etc, but rather these things needs to be experienced and attained in practice. This is what studying the Wisdom of Kabbalah helps us to do.
